Anyone upset about the upcoming changes

Exactly. Zerg is favored to get to the premier tournaments. Their numbers don’t start getting thinned out until the very top. Terran is the hardest race and has a very difficult time even making it there in the first place.

Mine change is aimed directly at that.

Hey I was looking at Wardi spring championship and it seems like win percentages stand as follows:
TvZ: 43.2%
ZvP: 51.4%
PvT: 42.4%

How can this be! Either using tourney stats like this doesn’t work or additional nerfs are necessary. I wonder…

I play AoE2… but I watch SC2. This update is probably going to make me stop watching SC2 as well.

We might lose a few of the most worthless in our community, the ones who want to see ZVZ every game. Meanwhile, the viewership will go up in average, because the only people who want to watch that are people who have no sense of reality and only want the game to be a cakewalk for less skilled Zergs.

You’re saying this as the balance team is making the game easier for less skilled Terrans…

You’re no different than what you are describing… but enjoy your TvTs if that’s what you like.

Terran is in nowhere near the spot that Zerg was for the last two years. We had one good season. The only Terran players who made were of top caliber, playing their best.

Meanwhile ZvT is very even for the last several seasons despite the map pool being probably the best for Terran in years.

Hasn’t stopped the crybabies from preemptively whining about losing their free wins.

Tell it to the ceo or designers of stupid mobile games…(Started in China or region) and I mean not those made from PC into mobile version of it but those cash grabs that make you play vs mega boosters. They miss 1 element of a game - to make it so it’s fun for playing it and if you pay for somth your money isnt wasted into no fun. SC2 does it by matching players vs more equal rank if they lose. Mobile games are like: Nope let our boosters have unfair advantage we arent changing it… we are not separating by power, we let them pick up on you and you have to deal with the boosters as if playing sc2 where you handicap to 50% unit hp… thats how you play trash mobiles

After figuring out something is not right I also took a look at StayAtHomestory cup.
TvZ: 42.6%
ZvP: 69.7%
PvT: 40%

It’s confirmed. Zerg is underperforming boys. I think we need some serious buffs and nerf to protoss because that lategame is simply too strong!

do you mind if i join you tehbatz? i would like to discuss starcraft balance and theorycraft while mining ores for you as a slave.

PvT has eco advantage. I know lets make cloaked mines easier to get. I am not sure how this fixes the issue. On another note my PvT is starting to get back down to 30% for the season. while my TvT and TvZ is at 50% +

This patch is proof they have no intentions of fixing real issues any time soon. The upcoming update is a  fiesta. There’s no hope of redemption

move on to AoE2 or even the new remastered CnC(will have ranked ladder), it will probably be less frustrating than watching your entire army die to storms, disruptors, banelings, lurkers, mines, siege tank lines, or colossi. rts like brood war were more fun because if you looked away for 5 seconds you didnt have to worry about throwing the game to the plethora of instant aoe death that has plagued sc2

I think something like Chess is more your speed.

Look away while your bio is moving on the map and Lurkers will end your whole game.
In the aspect of “Look away and you lose”, SC1 and SC2 have it the same.

Hmm. Personally, I think lurkers were less game ending. Slower movement speed, (kind of) slow attack speed. I’m talking about sc1. And lurkers were expensive.
P/S: I don’t know why I use past tense.

Where are the upcoming changes?

The Lurker’s attack speed is the same in both games.

The main differences in StarCraft II are the range increase and that the Lurker is scaled to 3-supply (with a health increase and 10 extra damage to armored units as part of that scaling). Both changes were necessary for Lurkers to be useful in StarCraft II considering the improved pathing and the increased range and mobility of units in SC2.

Wow a Terran is fine with nerfing Zerg in a match up they’re already weak in?? That is really surprising!

No. I was comparing BW lurker to LOTV banelings. Apparently lurkers’ attacks are slower than banelings’ impact.
