Any1 can help me how to view old replays again?

i checked in the versions folder and it doesnt have the folders there, can i manually create them but need the exact name of the folders? base***** something…can any1 give me all the folder names??

I don’t understand what exactly you’re asking for, but here are the replays paths I could find:
C:\Users\**YOURUSERNAME**\Documents\StarCraft II\Replays
C:\Users\**YOURUSERNAME**\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\**SOMENUMBER**\**SOMETHING**\Replays\Multiplayer

The “Base” folders hold the older SC2 exe’s needed to run older replays. The replays themselves are in the spot Undead provided above.

For most older replays, when you try to launch them, the game will detect and download the respective exe (base).

It doesn’t go back eternally, though. At some point, replays are just too old and there’s no way to open them. Usually in that case, the UI will just flat out say the version isn’t avaialble.

ya im talkin about the folders that contain the exes not what Undead provided, mine just got 1 folder but my older sc2 installation got a lot of those folders named “base 12454” so how can i make the system download those versions again when i already downloaded the full game?? bcos the error message is saying i need to dl the whole game 1st but i already fully downloaded sc2

It would take less time to jump on a time machine to view the old replays.

Waste of time and energy

FrostWither,
I do not use Exe when I try to open replay.

In my computer I go to my replay folder, pick random replay from 2015 and double click it. SC2 tries to turn on automaticly relevant update or whatever and I get notification “this version is no longer supported”.

Then I turn on replay from IX 2017, download 200MB and after download the replay just works (and works fine).

Yes, I did misunderstood you. Still, did it help?

They’ve patched out so many replays.

When you launch a replay from inside the client, if an older exe is needed to open it, it will download and add to the “Versions” folder. That’s assuming there is an exe available because they only go back so far.

ya thats the problem, my versions folder got only 1 folder in it, so im thinking if u provide me the folder names of those base12345 etc that the system will download its exes when it sees the folders are empty

when? just a week ago?a month?

The exes and the folders are downloaded together. And downloads only occur when you try to launch a replay that needs an old exe.

So if you want to repopulate Base folders and their exe’s, just start opening old replays.

ya its not downloading the 200mb files, it says i need to download the whole game 1st which i already did, i wont be here if it auto downloaded the 200mb files when i press watch replay…so thats why im asking what are the names of those folders so ill create them manually and hope the system will now dl those versions when i click replay in game

How are you launching the replays? By manually clicking on the replay files? Or from inside the client?

from in game and from windows explorer i tried both, both have the same error message

How old is the replay?

just last season, the only ones playing are the latest patch, even those not that old wont play

Are you able to upload one of your replays that isn’t working and link it here? I’ll give it a try and see what happens.
