Anticipation thread for Online Blizzcon 2021 abridged

It’s Trump. That orange man’s going to be pulling antics even without the presidency.

Honestly though, I’m just glad its over. They were really dragging out the voting for those final swing states.

I think it expired : (

Feared as much.

Not sure when to send you another one since I don’t know when you usually check the forums.

More than a thread without a consistent topic, completely unrelated to the subforum it is in (“Campaign” instead of “General” Discussion) ?

This shouldn’t expire.

So ya’ll ready for a trip down memory lane with the Mass Effect Legendary bundle? I was a little disappointed when I heard that they aren’t updating ME1s gameplay to the standards of ME2 and ME3, but given that Bioware is quite the joke these days, it was probably for the best.

My body is ready.

My PC however is not. Gonna wait a few months for graphics cards to actually be available and put together a new top of the line mainframe.

Cyberpunk and a mass effect remaster definitely warrants an upgrade of my 10 year old PC.

They also had a throwaway line at the end of the announcement claiming that they’re already working on the next entry of the Mass Effect series…

But again, it’s hard to trust current day Bioware.

I’m one of the few people that didn’t think andromeda was that bad. But I bought it mostly after all the bugs were ironed out. Most games suck if you compare them to the mass effect trilogy, but Andromeda was still a good game overall. Some of the world exploration was kind of boring though and the Kett could have been better written.

I never played Andromeda, but I’ve seen the walkthroughs and many reviews. I got the basic gist of it that the gameplay was actually quite stellar, even to the point that it may have been even better than the original trilogy. The downfall was its god-awful writing.

Oh, and the animations were so bad at release that they became glorious memes.

i can’t relate to star trek

Trek ended when DS9 ended.

JP still can’t log into the Forums, and he says he enjoyed Star Trek: Voyager despite its flaws, and Star Trek: Picard was nostalgic as well.

I’m a fan of Voyager. but I can’t get myself to watch Picard.

Picard was good. Don’t think I’ll ever get used to the F bomb getting dropped on trek but I enjoyed it.

That’s just wrong. Why use F bombs, when you have Garak and his cutting remarks.

I have peer beyound the veil and see what Juxtapose might want to post. Below lies a possible message from him/her.

The F-bombs in Star Trek: Picard definitely took me by surprise, and I have mixed feelings about them.

On the one hand, they felt out of place and very un-Star Trek like, but on the other hand it kept with the general theme of the show in making the characters and the environments themselves feel more human and lived in instead of clean and pristine.

They showcase alcoholism, broken families, etc. in ways that are more real and substantial than done in the Berman-era shows as well.
