There is one neglected aspect of the game. Not everyone is a smurf. Some time ago i used to accuse some of my opponents of smurfing, but then one of them explained to me that he was victim of smurfing himself and was pushed into lower MMR. Also due to constantly shrinking player-base, more and more master/diamonds will drop to lower leagues, because simply there will be not enough spots in their normal MMR range.
If you checked a player’s history, and he has 20-25 deranked games, he left intentionaly in the first 3-4 seconds of game, yeah that is a smurf.
In that case yes, but people these days tend to accuse everyone, who beats them, of smurfing. That’s why first they should examine their opponent’s account, games, history, win-loss pattern etc.
It’s always interesting how some players become experts on courage, skill, and smurfing immediately after a loss.
Perhaps not every defeat requires a conspiracy theory.
