I played the game on and off for weeks doing missions in both the Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm campaigns. Suddenly, about 5 days ago, all my achievement progress disappeared, showing 0% complete and no achievements appear in-game. I’ve gone through numerous troubleshooting steps from support including a full uninstall and reinstall of the game; checking and updating all drivers, making a new user account on my PC among many others.
None of this has made a bit of difference. I went weeks with no problems to suddenly being unable to get all achievements even replaying missions. The game usually shows “Achievements are disabled until further notice” but using a supposed trick after scouring the Internet for solutions (logging out and back in from the game) and getting “Achievements have been restored”…there are no achievements and they still won’t pop.
For a game that ran with zero problems for weeks, to suddenly being broken for almost a full week, after full re-installs and everything else (despite no changes on the computer from my end)…the issue seems to be on your end somewhere…
My last communication with support told me I need to report this issue here. After playing over 50 missions (counting achievement hunting), and to lose it all, is unacceptable.
Yes I am. I have checked and its always “Americas”. Was actually hoping it might have an option where I could pick a specific server like most games but that only seems like an option with online games.
This really seems to be a similar issue to what is happening with the Online players and their Commanders. Seems that when something goes wrong, it takes an intervention on the server side to get things to work correctly again. There is no way my connection works fine for weeks and then suddenly is “insufficient” for an entire week when I can play games such as Diablo 4 or Path of Exile without any issues.
I can get the “Achievements are Disabled Until Further Notice” to go away and say “Achievements are Restored” sometimes by logging out and logging back in while in the game…but the achievements are still not there…and playing a mission (even one I did not play before) doesn’t pop any achievements even while the chat still claims they are restored.
Here’s some new information. You did give me an idea. So I did log into Europe…and guess what…all my non-campaign achievements (like portraits etc) showed up…achievement borders show up again to be collected, etc (although, of course, I have no saved campaigns over there). While I was hoping this would spur the Americas server to start working…no dice…still broken and my campaign achievement progress is still gone (in Europe presumably because that is per server?). It’s as if on the Americas server, none of the Achievements (or uncompleted borders) want to load at all.
If that doesn’t prove it’s not a “connection issue” or my computer (since it works across a vast ocean), I don’t know what does.
Still looking for how to get the campaign achievements back. Although, I guess, if somehow I could get my campaign achievement progress to transfer to Europe, I could at least try to play there.
Well, either someone on your end fixed it…or I managed to trick it using the Europe server. This time I went to Europe, logged out in Europe and logged into the Americas and my achievement progress was back. Ironically even though it said “Achievements are disabled until further notice”. And loading up the finale save of a Nova mission that I had attempted trying to get achievements to work…gave me that achievement.
Hopefully it stays fixed, but the problem may now be resolved.
In short, the workaround might be…
Login to a different server.
Start a mission.
Abort the mission.
Logout of the server (not your region) from the game.
Login to your region.
Profit (hopefully).
Edit: It’s NOT fixed. Logging into SC2 using Americas (where I have been playing) still won’t load my achievements. But if I repeat what I did yesterday…start the game in Europe and then logout and log back in to the US server, I get my achievements again. Starting a mission is unnecessary. So it’s just…

Switch and login to your region. (US in my case)
It’s a bandaid. Sucks to have to jump through hoops every time, but at least something works…and if you get the “Achievements are disabled until further notice” message…ignore it…doesn’t matter. I am still getting new achievements.
