Well, all of the Toss pros have to end up somewhere… It’s akin to being a couple hundred MMR lower than you should be, because your race is capped below the others.

If you look at the ratings, you can clearly see every toss is losing mmr except dear who is rising. I wonder why.

Also it is good to mention that you won’t see Stats Zest herO and Classic next year.
5 out of the top 8 in Korea are Protoss right now. Did you want all 8 to be Protoss?

You can’t possibly think protoss is too strong right now but zerg isn’t. That’s insane.
I didn’t say anything about balance. I just showed the rankings and Protoss has clearly done better than other races in Korea so far this year.
Protoss is only outperforming in many PvT matches, but their overall tournament runs are usually massacred by zergs.

Its going to be 4 at most. Classic is going into the military so he cant make it, and even if he wasn’t Rogue is going to massacre Zest and get into the top 8 anyways.
Plus we still have the Super Tournament, and with PvT looking closer to balanced than its been in a while the current state of PvZ being zerg favored, I’d say the chances of say, herO and Dear being knocked out of the top 8 is pretty good.
You guys just better hope that Ragnarok doesn’t manage to clown out an upset victory over Maru, though the forums should be amusing he day after if that happens.

I’m not so certain; judging by the point award for Super Tournament 1 (visible on each player’s page on the official WCS standing), only 1st and 2nd place in Super Tournament 2 will net enough points to be possible to change the standings, perhaps 3rd and 4th place too; Classic, who won Super Tournament 1, got 1500 points while GuMiHo got 1050.
However, TY has pretty good chances to overtake Dear on the 8th slot with his Ro8 finish; Dear got awarded 1200 points for his rank 6 finish in GSL S1, so Rogue might get similar amount. With Stats, herO and Dear out in group phases and TY, Rogue and Ragnarok all breaking into Ro8, it’s very possible that the slots #6, #7 and #8 be overtaken by those three, depending on points awarded for GSL S3 and how deep Rogue and Ragnarok go in (Ragnarok will surely be eliminated by Maru, but Rogue might break into Ro4, and Dark got 1900 points for 3rd place in GSL S1). For some of them, Super Tournament 2 might still be a decider.

That’s not even close to being true. Code S and GSL vs the world had more Protoss than anything else make it into the later rounds. Dark is actually the only Zerg to make it to the RO4 in Code S this year. Super tournament 1 had 7 Protoss in the RO8 and one Terran as well. No Korean tournaments have been “massacred” by Zerg.
Zerg have won a few tournaments but the majority of the later rounds have had more Protoss representation and that’s why they have the most points. You can’t argue the standings. It’s very clear which race has done the best this year.
Protoss has been ridiculously strong a few times in the past year, no doubt about that. I’ve certainly made my voice known on that issue. I haven’t said anything about zerg until about a couple months ago.
Zerg’s domination from the circuit was alright I guess, but lately, its domination from the circuit into korea from zergs, including the mediocre ones like Elazer.
Zerg then also won the last GSL in addition to everything else. Perhaps if they hadn’t won that, I would be more in your camp of thinking, but they are currently dominating everywhere. That could change though.
Having hurricane, Parting, etc. in the RO8 GSL was a circus. 7 protoss and 1 terran in super, is also hilarious.
