Another frustrating day, this is a level 1 Zagara in Brutal.

I don’t mind carry, but this retard didn’t help push the obj, and went AFK at the end. There was nothing I could do. Wasted almost 30 minutes for nothing.
Should I just quit if I see a level 1 in this map?
Personally i would see how the ally behaves in the first ~5 to 10 minutes of the match.
If i see that the teammate is absolutely clueless about the map and his commander then he has no business playing brutal and i won’t waste time with him.
There are two websites that offer great COOP guides so there is no excuse for being totally clueless about your commander.
And if someone has not played a map enough times to be familiar with what the map is about they should not be doing brutal at all.
However i have to say that encountering low level old commanders in brutal is rather rare and depending on the map most can be effortlessly soloed.
Chain of Ascension is pretty notorious for being the map people farm Achievements on. Any map with forced cooperation has a chance for this kind of result.
But that specific ally you have going AFK is very unfortunate.
Not much you can really do except block him so in future games you can leave after a quick blocked or not check.
I’m guessing the reason you’re not allowed to push solo is so you dont get an ally that triggers the hybrids to spawn well before you’re both ready, but really that is a dumb reason for not being able to solo push if that’s the case. I mean its not like on Miner Evac we have a problem with allies troll launching shuttles, so I don’t think we’d have a problem on CoA either.
Maybe a timer? Where if the ally hasn’t helped push by X minute, and Jinara starts complaining, one player can solo push her until some point. Repeat until final push.
Might be a decent way to prevent griefing on either end, no one can effortlessly solo push into a hybrid spawn ASAP and no one can force the other into an unwinnable game.
Allies not doing the objective on Cradle of Death doesn’t feel that bad since you just lose shortly after.
Maybe there needs to be some mission time limit on Chain of Ascension and Lock and Load that result in mission loss if you don’t win within a certain amount of time (30 minutes?). That or make it so you can make solo objective progress at some fraction of the speed the normal both players doing objective.
That sounds like a really good idea…after X amount of (continuous) time with one army you can solo push for Y seconds.
Maybe on Lock and Load one Army can reset them to neutral from enemy…and if you have one players army at all five locks for X seconds, then you win (ie get all locks simultaneously)
OP is a liar and misportraying the event.
The Lvl 1 Zagara plays ok and good enough to win. Clearly something happened for the guy and he had to afk @minute 27, why would he otherwise abandon a perfectly going match.
Prob his kitchen was on fire or something important. Sometimes you just have bad luck.
Obviously you carry the game, but jeez, I too play Tychus I know how easy it is on Brutal so don’t cry like a baby. He had an army and used it, he did push with you. It only didn’t work because he had to afk at minute 27, which is unfortunate but as I said he must have had an emergency.
Who the hell play Chain of Ascension in 27 minutes and not finish yet?
I don’t talk about speed run in Void Thrashing in 12 minutes. But, a map like CoA should be end in 18 minutes. It was dragged to 27+ minutes because that retard didn’t push the objective. All the bases were cleared by me, no excuse to not push.
No matter how strong I am, I can never finish that map with a retard like that.
And who the hell stays in a Brutal game with a lvl 1, then continues to stay when he’s unhappy with that partner and then comes to the forums and is all butthurt?
This is a completely rhetorical question. I really don’t know the answer at all. Wait, what does rhetorical mean again.
He didn’t, that is why the game was dragged to 27 minutes. If he just pushed, the game had been done in 18 minutes already. Did you really watch the replay?
I remember him standing near the objective without you a few times and it didn’t move, so your drone must’ve died at some point. In fact I think it never ever moved unless both your armies were there.
Want me to take a screenshot of me putting my SCV in a control group, send it to the obj, control it via mini map, and immediately replaced it when the control group disappeared?
