A problem with Zagara's new mastery set

Old mastery set:

Set 1: Zagara Damage vs. Zagara Life and Energy Regeneration
Set 2: Zergling Evasion vs Baneling damage
Set 3: Intensified Frenzy vs Roach Drop damage

New mastery set

Set 1: Zagara Damage vs. Zagara and Queen Life and Energy Regeneration
Set 2: Zergling Evasion vs Intensified Frenzy
Set 3: Baneling damage vs Roach Drop damage

The big problem with new set is that you can no longer take zergling evasion + frenzy masteries together and P3 Zagara can’t take both baneling damage and roach masteries like she used to.

Please change her mastery set to the following:

Set 1: Roach Drop damage vs. Zergling Evasion
Set 2: Zagara and Queen Life and Energy Regeneration vs Intensified Frenzy
Set 3: Baneling damage vs Zagara Damage

This way P1 Zagara can still take all army masteries (Evasion/Queen/Baneling damage) which was the original intent behind the new patch, P0 and P2 can take Evasion + Frenzy and P3 can still take Baneling + Roach damage. Sets 2 and 3 will also gain some synergies. You have a choice between Energy regen + Baneling spam, Frenzy + Zagara damage (once frenzy bug not applying to Zagara gets fixed) for sustained less energy intensive damage or Roach + Frenzy+ Baneling for energy hungry max damage spec.

I was hoping they would swap energy regen with zergling evasion. I also used to do baneling and roach mastery but can’t anymore just so P1 plebs get their way :frowning:

Yeah, they fixed P1 but nerfed P0, 2 and 3 big time in the process.

definitely seems like it needs to be fixed, no point in hamstringing two prestiges in favor of one, and it’s a fairly simple swap.

That’s why I said it isn’t an issue at all. And solving p1 would be easier by changing disadvantage.

Now they’ve already changed mastery, it’s not super bad but anyone using Zagara at all will take a hit here and there.

I’m just glad among these changes I can still run my Apex relatively unharmed.

Evasion /Baneling
Frenzy/Baneling
Frenzy/Roach
and
Evasion/Roach are all fine

All prestiges get Banelings (from nest/barrage/abberations…so that’s always ok)

New patch: Commander was too fun to play, nerfed fun by 20%

They could make an exception with Zagara and just let her place her mastery points freely, only way to make everyone happy.
don’t know if that has been fixed, but the patch was bugged so it works partially like that anyway, you could put 60 points into one mastery block (2x30).

I’ve said elsewhere, but swapping Zagara’s Zergling Evasion and Baneling Damage would enable separate AoE and DPS synergy builds while having the same intended effect on P1 without majorly changing the positions of all masteries.

Was this reverted? Cause even though the masteries are displayed as you describe as (new), I cannot spec zergling evasion and baneling at the same time to 30… they still share points, it seems…
