you can turtle and harass. In most cases the harass is mineral dump.
Another idea. If you make disruptors weaker by taking away their ability to one-shot roaches and marauders (which to me is a huge nerf) but revert the reduction in radius, how about giving some extra hp to disruptors or some sort of hardened shield when they cast the nova? I mean, if the marauders can stim and snipe disruptors and even when they donât, they live, thatâs kinda imba.
I am sure they are open to the possibility of doing adjustments if it looks like the disruptor isnât meeting their standards. But MaxPax recently 3-0âd clem and 2-1âd Byun on the new patch. Remember, PiG said MaxPax has maybe a 30% chance to beat Clem on the current patch. What changed? Is protoss stronger? It seems so.
Maybe you just suck if youâre trying to play TvT by attacking planetaries. Sounds like you prefer checkers over chess. FYI - Bio Terran beats Mech Terran in most game states.
t. Master 2 Terran player
Sh1tty patch for a sh1tty game. sigh. whereâs David Kim where you need him. This is as bad a change as when swarm host locusts gained flight or when thors got that default +2 armor.
Heâs busy crying into his pillow at night: https://i.imgur.com/Fsxrwhf.png
In all fairness he did do a very good job with SC2 and oversaw it during its peak moments.

The recent RTS attempts contrasted. The only one appearing to have a lasting trend is beyond all reason. Itâs currently holding similar base line interest as Stormgate despite a smaller marketing campaign which to me indicates more potential. The giant peaks are marketing campaigns and BAR doesnât really have one to speak of. Thatâs natural grass roots interest right there.
If mech player is not an idiot and knows how to set up PROPER defences - turrets/ tanks/mines/PFs i guarantee you bio cannot beat mech. I prefer bio over mech because i hate turtling style but beating mech requires literally 3x apm/multitasking where mech player sits behind all of above and youâre bashing the wall with your head. I even saw Clem playing bio unable to beat BeastyQt mech so he transitioned into mech himself. If you cannot beat mech with bio under 10 mins or do significant damage you lose so spare me you wax sh1t.
You should know this.
That assumes the other player is actually able to secure the resources to build up to that. Bio should build up slightly faster, and there are often gaps to exploit earlier on.
Later, mech should have the advantage, because Factory and Starport units are generally better in standing engagements. Bio either needs to use Factory or Starport units intelligently or hit with a supply advantage.
Iâm definitely interested in that one that Scarlett is helping to work on (I think CatZ too?) Canât remember the name, I think it has âZeroâ in there somewhere
Edit: Zero Space
Thatâs exactly what iâm talking about - if mech player cannot position their defensive units in a right place at a right time, bio player can abuse it and out-multitask his opponent, but if mech player has years of experience playing vs bio, can anticipate most timings/harassment pushes, beating such player is borderline impossible. In that case the only thing bio terran can do is to transition into mech himself.
All of that is fine and dandy⌠until you realise it comes at the cost of the ONLY tool Protoss has at their disposal to defend against early game rushes, as well as commited all-ins.
Yes, the ability sounds cool on paper, but whatâs 100 energy in a sentry going to do when you have a ling flood in your base? Heck, who even builds sentries early game? By the time this âbuffâ comes online, youâve already been hit in the face by four different all-ins.
Itâs worth adding mechabellum to the list:
