Uuuuuuuugh Zeratul cannon buff. Totally unnecessary. Hopefully wont turn him back into turretool, joke commander of braindead gameplay.
I tried a few brutal+ games with mass cannons and I’d say its viable again and will work everywhere, but not really ideal unless you’re doing a defensive map.
About the Keringan’s Broodlord so-called buff.
Since when HP is the reason that Broodlord is underused? I thought that people generally don’t use Broodlord because it is too expensive and take quite some time to mass it.
Seriously, I don’t get the rationale behind the Broodlord’s buff.
Yeah idk either
I always considered brood lords non viable on purpose because they totally break the game while being a movable if you could actually mass them, they would be worse than old Zera cannons
But why even include them at all IDK
Oh your first proposal of replacing mech speed mastery was a horrible, horrible idea. But I liked this new idea!
Also don’t think it’s hard to implement.
On topic: overall I liked many changes like boosts to Swanny, Karax, gas free widowmine and creep for Stukov’s overlord.
I don’t like the unnecessary boost to ravagers, the changes to ibunkers and that kind of things. I’m all against breaindead styles. But guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the future.

Some guides deem lv1 to be “must get”. Lv2 is “Ok”, but lv3 only in niche situations.
For me, Lv2 is “must get”, but Lv3 I only get on longer maps (those that take over 20 to 24 minutes)
If you think the cost of solarite upgrade is manageble, it’s OK for you. I do not agree with that idea even if I don’t invest resources for 3rd solarite upgrade.

Alternatively, the Robotics Bay also unlocks the ability to research lv3 Spear Of Adun, and that only costs 150/150
And, I remember robotics bay of Karax costs 200/200. If i’m wrong, please correct it.
I believe you’re confusing Robotics Facility (the building that produces Protoss mech), with Robotics Bay (auxiliary building that provides upgrades for the former, and allows extra units to be produced like Colossi)?
According to a wiki, it’s 150/150
https:// starcraft.fandom. com/wiki/Robotics_bay
The mech production facility that costs 200/200 is from the 1st StarCraft.
would be nice if Broodlord can inherit Mutalisk Rapid Regeneration.
Idk why wiki says its cost 150/150 but in game, robotics bay of Karax is 200/200. I checked it many times in these days. The additional building for upgrade collosus.
I saw you’re calling yourself as Karax main user in other thread, did you really confirm that?
The wiki actually turned out to be wrong, it didn’t have the coop stats. I added the actual price yesterday, must have been right after you looked it up
.
Sadly, Robo bay do cost 200/200 for all protoss commanders in coop.
I’ve suggested in the update thread that they lower it to 150/150 like on ladder.
I’ve thought for a long time they should do the same for nydus networks to make them a bit more accessible for Kerrigan since they are an integral part of playing her.
If they wanted to do that they could rework them so that
- Nydus Network is down to say 100m 100gas
- Nydus Worms cost 50m 50 gas, but cooldown is 10 seconds, Network can store 10 charges, and the Worms can relocate
That was before the “actually global free stuff is Ok” with Stukov and Zeratul’s buff (and lack of anymore Infestor nerfs)
The thing is, once you upgrade reapers to use fly ability, their priority raises to be right after galleons.
No that would be terrible, it would make them a lot more expensive overall through-out a mission. If you had to pay for each worm very few would build them, it’s one of the reasons that Abathur players never bother using nydus.
Even disregarding the cost, you are making it needlessly complicated.
It works perfectly fine now, it would just be nice if the network was a tad cheaper.
These days, since I’ve leveled up everyone, I choose Random Commander and play “what I’m stuck with”. In other words, I won’t quit because I got stuck with a CO (Commander), CO ally, and Mission setup. It’s actually been quite fun to explore some of these setups, like Zagara on Dead Of Night (she’s not so good def, but she can push and end it sooner than later). Otherwise, I do like using Karax, and prefer him amongst the Protoss COs.
Thanks for the change on the wiki page! Thanks to both of you for confirming the correct cost!
Again, going by the wikia, they cost 150/200. That seems to be appropriate. I remember they were under-powered, so they added detection to it. If we’re going to push for cheaper Omega Worms, I’d like to push for cheaper Science Vessels for Swann. Currently, they cost 100/200/2, but would like it if they got reduced to 100/150/2.
No prob
I certainly wouldn’t mind cheaper science vessels either, though Swann does get a lot more gas so it doesn’t feel like quite as much of a constraint.
Omega worms ARE good, but you usually need a few because of the cooldown time, making the total investment a tad steep if you go for them early, I would just like to see network cost 150/150 like they do on ladder to make them a bit more accessible early on.
And they didn’t add detection because they were underpowered, but because overseers can’t fly into nydus so you wouldn’t have detection when jumping back and forth with your army, which was pretty annoying. More a quality of life thing.
I figured Swann gets more gas because he needs it. So at the end of the day, it’s still a push (although a nice boon for his ally)
Well, yeah and he mostly needs it for sci vessels, and so you can get those 8 tanks out early if going the dropship style.
goliath are cheap gas wise. I honestly think if sci vessels cost 150 gas, Swann wouldn’t need it any more than any other commander, they are almost all gated by their gas income. Though like all of the others, he would have no problem using it either
Seriously GIVE SCIENCE VESSEL (OR Wraiths) TACTICAL JUMP.
In some Arcade Maps in Asian Server, Science Vessels Have this ability…
