2v2 Help kinda or rant

I have this friend I play with and he plays zerg, but like a really really slow zerg. I play toss/terran and I like to be really aggressive. Usually the games play out with me running in early and bullying them on their eco while they build up. I communicate for help a lot.

He doesn’t do much though, he just plays farmville for 10 minutes as zerg then swings in with a big army and that doesn’t even work half the time. Is there some strat I can adapt to that’ll help this out a lot? I mean, I’m really getting tired of it.

Yes, the strat to this is called changing team mate.

an extremely effective 2v2 strat is to have you turtle with mech, and your teammate get a god army and lots of eco.

also dont play teams just so you can blame them when you loose.

Well the match making is definitely BS.

That’s the entire point of teams

My personal experience with team games is that you should recommend your teammate to offrace/race swap. Zergs really aren’t good at building an end game army in a team setting, because bases past your first expansions are very hard to defend, and the ultimate zerg army requires more micromanagment and support from teammates compared to Terran (mech and/or BCs) or Protoss (Skytoss). As much meme as there are for GGlords, these take a long time to build and are quite fragile, especially in a team setting in which one of your opponent is almost guaranteed to spam air.

There really isn’t much you can do personally if your teammate is going to play simcity for 10 minutes and then push out with a mediocre comp like Roach Hydra. If he is good with Infester/Viper control it can be a different story, but if the Zerg isn’t going to be constantly doing ling runbys to harass or aim for a very strong 5-7 minute timing attack, it’s going to be a huge problem.
