12 workers sucks

I hate the 12 worker start so much, all the protoss came back because they were to scared to play with 8 workers and now every single one of them mass cheeses, and even if you successfully destroy 210 cannons they can some how make an army bigger than yours.

Protoss came back because their race core mechanic is back again.

That tells us more about you, than about game Balance. Building many cannons is a rookie move.

Yes, that’s exactly right, i successfully killed 10 of his cannons, but with 12 workers that doesn’t even inflict any loss. A cheese should cost something especially if it fails.

If he kept your workers from harvesting for the duration of killing 10 whole cannons, it sure sounds like the cheese was successful.

No, my main was saturated he dind’t touch any drones

Theb you screwed up phenomenally

That also tells us much more about you than about your opponent. He successfully build many cannons (something that shouldnt happen and all) and you were apparently occupied by that, so he gained the advantage

Tell me how I screwed up. You know nothing about what happened. It’s completely possible that I am right, how about instead of trying to insult people you hear them out and make the game better. PiG is the reason they tried the 8 worker start, he had all kinds of evidence for exactly what I am claiming. The issue with the last patch wasn’t the 8 worker start it was the warp gates and Reaper times being increased and the larvae times being increased. That’s what make zerg so strong. Nerfed toss and terran and buff zerg. I’m not just making a random claim a lot of pro casters say the same thing. 12 worker start allows people to fail at cheese and and not lose anything for it. Cheese should cost something.

That’s such a dumb statement. I saw a pylon i built a bunker, i held back the cannons until I had tanks, he wasted money on cannons behind those. when i first saw the pylon i pulled 4 scv’s, then he set 3 more and i sent 4 to eash of those, i killed 4 of them before he even got a canon down. I did exactly what you are supposed to do for a cannon rush, every step was by the book. Please don’t argue if you don’t know what you are talking about.

So he forces you to make a factory and get tanks out before you were able to expand, and he kept you contained that whole while? Where is the failure on his part, exactly? Sounds like he accomplished exactly what he was trying to.

You are at 2570 mmr currently? You have much to improve. And you shouldnt be throwing around these Statements at all. Especially with that mmr.

Please provide a replay if you want actual help.

Let me guess. While you were busy teching up and defending he built his natural faster than you did ? One of the key advantages of terran is that you can prebuild the base in the main base. Also obviously you need the Constant worker production. That way you dont lose much income when you finally clean up the natural.

Cannon Rush Has No Counter

I’m sure the vast majority of players would agree that StarCraft II would be a more enjoyable and healthier game if Cannon Rush were nerfed.

In fact, I don’t think I’m the only one who genuinely believes this strategy is unbalanced. It shouldn’t be possible to build offensive Photon Cannons before your opponent can even train basic units like Zealots, Marines, Zerglings, or Queens.

But even if Cannon Rush weren’t inherently unbalanced and its outcome depended more on the players’ skill, I still don’t see why a mechanic should exist that forces players to turn their early game into a worker micro battle instead of allowing them to focus on the strategic depth that makes StarCraft II such a great game.

Look, I’m not going to argue about it. many casters say the same thing about the 12 worker start, there is 0 early game, and punishing a cheese is a lot harder. If you think cheese should be the best way to win then, go do that and don’t harass me about how I think sc 2 should be.

You sound just like Protech. He crashed out for 2 days straight and raged at his teammates and opponents for being 12 worker players. With 12 workers you just have to be ready to deal with the CR. It’s not hard if you calm down and analyze what you did wrong from the replay. There are even YT videos showing how to deal with a CR as T, Z, or P. Everything happens faster and you need to get in the groove quicker.

Yes, i did everything by the book, like i said. Lol, I know how to stop cannon rushes, as i said i stopped it, his cannon rush failed, he was trying to kill me completely with cannon, i killed all his cannons. That should put him behind, but it doesnt.

“He didn’t completely kill me” != “the cannon rush failed.” He did enormous economic damage to you and delayed you for a long time while he pumped economy behind it. By just about any account that is a wildly successful cannon rush.

You didnt do anything by the book.

I believe i have the correct match in your match history. Here are the graphs:

What happend at 2:34? Why did you lose 5 units?`The first unit shouldnt be a marauder.

Why didnt you produce workers nonstop? Why is the toss ahead since the beginning even tho there wasnt a cannon rush yet? That doesnt make sense. You pulled waaay too many workers.

You mined half his ressources in total and had nearly as much minerals floating as he did. Meaning you had an average unspent ressources of 500 in a 6 minute game 1 base. That is poor macro. You lost 5 workers (?) which shouldnt happen at all at 2:30. Ofc your opponent will win. You simply arent allowed to lose 5 workers at 2:30.

I know what you posted and yeah. Its a good idea to delete it. Cannot even read graphs man.

Why did you lose 5 workers at 2:30? Why do you consider this “playing by book”?

Its always same old story: “i played perfectly, i played by the book”

No. No, i am afraid you did not.

Ya, i misread it, that happens. Now you’re trying to harass me. Like i said i’m not going to argue about it. I’m not the only one who thinks cheese should be punishable. If you dont, go do some cheese but leave me alone.
