Another tier list out, another content creator/high level player talking about how they Alec and co. butchered this hero!
I stopped following your overwatch. he is very hypocritical about what he says, and there have been countless times where he has retracted some of his honest statements about the game to clearly still be on blizzardâs list of welcome content creators.
What do you mean? Forum-llari is always instantly 2-shotting everyone with her gun that has to charge up between shots to even two-shot and when she isnât doing that, sheâs getting insane âfree-valueâ out of her stationary, single-target, pylon that can be one-shot by so many things and put on a 15-second cd which makes her rely on her secondary healing that canât even save one person from pressure and also has itâs own cooldown if you do run out of juice trying to save someone. Then she has an ult that can easily be blocked, eaten, or even outhealed so you survive even if detonated.
CLEARLY, she is an OP monster.
But seriously, I think they should replace pylon, people who play Illari donât need it. Her effort/reward ratio is off, Pylon is a hinderance and annoyance that in unnecessary and limits both the characterâs potential and skill-expression.
âYour Overwatchâ also goes on about Junkrat being OP, IIRC. Youâll forgive me for thinking that Illariâs doing just fine if that guy is saying Illari sucks.
Yeah⌠the same guy that put this out: https://youtu.be/704zJ4P6VuI?si=gu8vGwpSAaZ1wUQ_
Youâll have to forgive me, but the uninformed opinion of a complete moron doesnât and never will convince me that one of the most busted heroes to ever be released is bad.
Freedo/YourOverwatch has had a lot of hot takes I disagree with.
He seems like a nice guy, and clearly is informed on many aspects of the game. And obviously if someone exists online long enough, you can dig up plenty of bad takes in their past. I just seem to disagree with him as often as I can agree.
She definitely is good the problem is bap kirik and ana are just so much better she looks worse in comparison so if you play those 3 she looks weak bjt if you play any other support she looks strong
He says sheâs a somewhat niche poke hero in the current meta with a very high skill ceiling. And I donât disagree with either.
Where did he say she was butchered exactly?
Your Overwatch
Even if it is true I wouldnât use Your Overwatch as a reliable source.
Thatâs going a bit far.
This take on Illari isnât so out of touch, unless youâre T500, youâre usually better off on other supports.
I donât either agree with Freedo generally, but this take is actualyl widespread to several content creators to begin with and I also ultimately agree with it :
We learned how to counter Illariâs ultimate. We learned that killing Pylon renders her quite useless. We learned that she has basically nothing else going for.
So unless you truly are a hitscan T500/High rank player, you prob wonât get significant value on Illari (doesnât stop someone from being good in the lower brackets doe).
I think it was ml7 that said it better, Illari is Moira-hitscan.
it would be with the todays support + support passive. ngl. as tracer main i still consider myself more of a support main since ow2. i would play kiriko in ow1 with support passive into og dive.
The only tier list I trust is KROWâs tier list.
I mean, Illariâs Moira 2.0, sheâll basically never be super good at extremely high Elo (unless sheâs just generally too good) since all she offers is healing and damage with most Supports offering more. Sheâll have her uses, but largely be niche at her best.
Were her pylon nerfs a bit too much? Probably, but I donât think rolling some back will help her regain presence in high tiers right now. Things seem to be less bunker-y and more mobile this season and Illari will always suck if your team doesnât want to or canât stay near the Pylon.
If I recall, he was specifically advocating against escape abilities like Swift Step and Suzu. He was more praising how good Zenyatta felt into dive, running and hiding to return with Transcendence, as if Mercy wasnât reworked for that exact reason.
But of course, people can like different things.
wall climb by itself is already a big plus. the only reason i never had that much fun on zen is because i love mobility, which is why I eventualy started to practise tracer a lot.
but you might wanted to include that. And if i dont get mobility I donât feel happy playing support as mercy does have the mobility but doesnât trigger the fun factor inside of me which zen technically could. But without mobility it just doesnât feel fast enough for overwatch.
I certainly agree that people enjoy different things.
Well we know already. Itâs like this. They raised the skill floor on her gun and making her less effective for bad players, but can not have a support be bad for bad players, so just gutted her entirely instead.
- Brig
- Mauga
- Sigma
- Sojourn
- Tie between Kiriko and Illari
Agree mostly. Mauga faced too many mirror matches on release to say he was op. He is now after all the buffs, but on release when Sig/Dva/Zar played into him, he didnt fair well.
Otherwise yep yep
Illari is both the most difficult and the worst support, which is a pretty wild combination. Half the DPS of Kiriko. Lowest crit DPS in Overwatch among all crit capable heroes. Main source of healing is a glorified Zen orb that can be destroyed. The most counterable ult in the entire game. Even the best T500 Illari main streamer I could find barely touches her now and says she sucks.
I am so confident buffs are on the way that if she doesnât get them, I will literally kiss Bobby Kotickâs nipples.
