You might not be and neither will I, but there will always be that handful of people who still will. I saw how some OW CCs still not just bought every battle pass but proceeded to buy every single tier to level up their battle pass instantly. Buy EVERY single skin from the shop whenever it dropped because they are such a fanboy.
Till such people exist, Blizzard will still see money coming in and THEY WON’T CARE. The only thing you can do is not just boycott it with your wallet but entirely. Not for the sake of Blizzard, but yourself. Stop caring about this game.

No longer can you trust marketing, and 5v5 isn’t the original game I and many others fell in love with many years ago. The only reason I’m arguing about it and getting mad is so the community can have a chance to see those good days again, because to be honest with you the game feels like s***. It’s just a constant skirmish even in the higher ranks. I’m masters and I don’t see any semblance of cool team play or cool strategies, it’s just brainless push, brainless ult, brainless everything. Making the game a cod shooter was the worst decision that was ever made for the game especially with the buffing of JQ which was completely unwarranted especially since shes so damn easy to play.
I technically put mine away when they banned Blitzchung for saying to free Hong Kong, pulled his prize money, and even punished the presenters that were there for it. I hadn’t given them any money since I bought Overwatch anyways, but once they did that I knew that I wouldn’t be giving them money again after that.
Then the whole Cosby Suite thing came to light as well, including the employee who killed herself in part (allegedly) due to the sexual harassment she was getting at work.
I was also pretty upset with them when they got that -51% tax rate in 2018, so $228 million dollars of American taxpayer money went to paying ABK. Paying ABK over half the money they made that year, to boot.
Also that time they announced record profits and then laid off around 800 employees out of the blue.
Don’t get me wrong, them getting rid of Overwatch to push the OW2 battlepass/shop update with the promise of in-depth PvE that they knowingly cut before the update’s launch without telling the players about for over 6 months is an incredibly scummy move. And one that rightfully means people should be wary about giving them money. But it’s just… nowhere near the first reason not to give them any, to me at least.
by saying this you’re submitting to a free to play model and admitting free to play is good for the game and you’ll support it. Thats what it means to them and if people continue to do it then free to play with be the definitive standard for many many many more years instead of just in the immediate future. Please dont make me explain to you why free to play is bad even for the richest of community members. Kindly get angry, not for yourself but for the industry and others.

They lie, and lie, and lie, and lie again, never actually make the game better, pretend they made a sequel, just find ways to sell more cheap shiny things, and these people eat it up and say “make it hurt more, blizz, I love it, daddy, take the money I did REAL work for”.

Even the F-o-r-m-u-l-a currently sucks. They never nerfed supports to fit 5v5, solo tank is a joke because if your tank sucks, you lose, and the dps is the least impactful role in the game. This formula sucks, bring back 6v6 and maybe you have a point.
Shills for DAYS! What do the devs have to do, physically come to your house and rob you for you to realize they’re playing you and it’s a joke to still be attempting to defend anything they’ve done…
Feel free to disagree, but it’s a fact that even with the starvation the game endured over years it is still very successful. I’d say that’s a pretty good, pretty objective indicator of the formula being good and successful. People obviously want a good Overwatch PvP experience. That’s why they started playing the game as soon as it got updates again.
They should care. Since we, the consumers, are the true “product”, it’d be a shame if we were to… oh, I don’t know… stop buying anything relating to Blizzard.
No Diablo 4… no more Battle Pass… no more OW Coins…

Shame that FoMO has such a big influence that we don’t realize that we’re the true people in power here. Customers say what they do and don’t like, which (sometimes) makes companies change their original plans so they don’t get as much backlash. Which, also sometimes, results in happier customers.
Interestingly, the big thread I posted my disappointment on is now gone. It says I have no activity. That was the first time I’d really posted, was just really put off by the announcement.
