Your anger means nothing

This recent announcement is being met with a lot of anger…and rightfully so…but you know what? it means absolutely nothing…

cause they do not care that this news angers you (or they would still be working on it)…no, the only thing that matters to them - and it has been this way since long before it was announced last summer - is that you continue to open up that wallet…keep buying up those bp’s…keep spending in the shop…

keep opening up your wallet believing that you are contributing towards the future of the game…they wont stop you…theyre too busy laughing at how much its working…

everyone keeps wondering why the game is not noticeably improving…its because the game does not matter anymore…the quality of the product does not matter anymore…you, the customer, dont matter anymore…just like the rest of the game industry, the ONLY thing that matters nowadays is that they get you to spend…and spend (many of you) you have…because everyone is oblivious to the fact that you are just being farmed…

The game has received several very big improvements recently…

A massive overhaul to controls and more options for controls in the last patch…

Which is exactly the type of thing they should work on in my opinion…

Rather than change an already good and successful [PVP] formula…

But I’m not buying anything else now…and I think a lot of people are doing the same.

Uh huh, you think the current state of the PvP is good? That’s hilarious and pathetic. Seeing as they knew they were scraping the PvE well over a year ago, the development team has had nothing distracting them from making the PvP fun and balanced, yet here we are EVERY SINGLE UPDATE with a new utterly broken buff that makes that character conpletely unfun to play against or a huge nerf completely trashing the character. Don’t even get me started on the crappy ranking system overall, lmao. Stop being delusional

The only thing that means anything to Blizzard is our wallets.

Mines been put away since OW2 dropped. :man_shrugging:

The recent news just means that decision is indefinite.

They are feeling the heat over this one because they’ve never gone on thread deleting sprees before.

Um, they do care about anger, because people won’t spend if they are angry.

The fact is though, this game is still really fun, even without PvE. So, people will continue to open their wallets.

I guess I’m being farmed then? Spending money on a game that I really enjoy? Weird way of putting it, but, okay.

As they should, this is their “Come to Jesus” moment for them.

you know what is sad… that you’re right.

These devs don’t care about the player community since forever.

Only disappointment left-

Pretty much the state of modern gaming. Greed and/or lack of real talent to make good games.

maybe will be hard for you to understand and believe a simple thing, even some people on the forum pay , and for sure all of us are part of the community.

You are part of the .001% that posts on the forums, yes.

Maybe will be hard for you to understand, but blizzard listens to the masses, not the small portion that complains on the complaining forums

yup

cause the “agreement” if you will is…“we wont charge you to play the game…in return what we offer is the promise of improvement/content to the game if you contribute to us this way instead”

at least thats how they tell you it will work…

but in reality there is none of the latter going on…and why should there be…youre already giving them your money before any of that has occured…so what incentive do they actually have to do any of it…plus they know they can get you to spend further without doing so as well…so they just continue to cultivate their crop

you are the one being played…not the game

It’s a tough pill to swallow, the people that stayed up to this point, won’t leave and Blizzard knows it. If you haven’t left now, you never will so why would they spend money into making it better when there’s still cash flowing?

no they dont, the angry crowd coincides with the poor group. they werent gonna spend money anyways

You’re right. They should probably just keep making new skins and maps and characters for free. Good point!

oh you think this is about wanting stuff for free?

no this is about the manipulation that is plaguing the gaming industry and more specifically that is now going on with OW2…

and its about getting people to understand why things are the way they are (the oblivious part)…

things are the way they are because the people making the games are going all in on greed…and they get away with it because people continue to allow and enable it to happen

people can get up in arms all they want that they arent getting what they think they should be getting…reality is they dont care…their plan is working regardless

Scummy behavior from a scummy company. Anyone who works for Blizz should be ashamed of themselves. :expressionless:

A bunch of liars and thieves.

And why do you think that is?

It’s because the MAJORITY of people don’t feel like they are being “manipulated,” or “abused” or whatever words you want to use to describe their business model, lol. If I want to buy a skin, I don’t mind paying for it at all. And if that helps pay the developers salary so they keep updating this game, then that’s great.

Reddit’s r/Overwatch is on damage control mode too. They’re panicking.

This time is not like the others, this time they know they are going to lose a good chunk of the playerbase.
