How do you “match” a hero that has high hp, adaptive shields, high mobility, verticality, CC, area denial, and can shoot you? Ball is an insanely stacked hero, he needs heroes that can slow him down so the team has a chance to kill him.
Its still that way now, but its like less that a second so its useless.
The translocator is not really a nerf, per say. its how i used the translocator, and remained in the fight, made me a much stronger Sombra. However, losing control over it is a major nerf. At least if they want to do that, dont do an instant teleport as it lands, give it a few seconds

Because SOME sombras are very bad at the game. I can play ball into sombra on occasion because they are very bad and only playing sombra to counter me. But if the sombra is even decent they will force a switch. A decent sombra can literally ruin every single ball engagement with decent positioning and a press of a button.
Playing the game is not about maining something, this is your own flaw, not the game’s design even. You can main a role, but if you tend to onetrick a character and use the word “maining” just to excuse or cover your actual behavior, you have no reasons to come to the forum and complain over the things that you make your own decisions of.
I do not play sombra. But freaking ball and the game forces me to do so, because I can not play other characters into the ball, so you either flex or get bent on.

I was just mentioning that the info they provided for Hack in the reveal isn’t clear for how long the target is “Silenced” for. And it doesn’t mention the damage buff except for on Virus.
So I was just saying it might go back to a Full Silence, for the whole duration, with no damage buff for your SMG.

Tracer, bastion, cree, zen, orisa, hanzo, sojourn, all heroes that can match and compete with ball skill with little to no cc.

You do realize ball is the 2nd worst tank in the game right now right? Why is it that I ask for ONE ability to be changed to not hard counter ball and 9/10 people here are like “yOu JuSt wAnT FrEe kiLLs aNd No CoUntErs!”…so immature.
I never said anywhere in here I think ball should have no counters, hack is just a complete bs ability vs ball. Ball still has a million counters without hack.
With that said, the truth is if they ever want to balance 5v5 they need to make tank the hardest role to counter in the game. This is the most serious tank draught we’ve ever seen in this game, and it’s because they’re the easiest role to counter in the game. Playing tank in OW2 is just switching constantly to avoid 5 people trying to hard counter you. No other role has to deal with that crap, and you’d be complaining too if people did that to supports, but no you get to one trick Ana and never be in single position that would ever warrant a switch.

You may be a good ball player, but i never have a good encounter with or against ball players. You go off doing your thing while i deal with a rein using his hammer to give me a colonoscopy or zarya force feeding me plasma or whatever her cannon fires.
They did announce tweeks on her numbers for hack etc so its not beyond imagining

If he told you to eat crayons would you do so? You should not take everything these pro players say at face value. Most of us to do not play in their environment. If I listened to what Fitzy and Stevooo told me. I would never swap off Sombra and think its justified to troll as Sym.
But you know what, maybe he is right. Maybe its best not to throw as Ball and swap to a tank more suited against Sombra. Its not like you have to play only Ball.

Well yes, that is her job as a hard counter.
This rework is not a rework… its a buff, and most insanely some people think the hack change is making this an overall nerf… sombras value is not in the debuff, but rather the CC of ability blocking, its a bad mechanic and should never have been introduced.
Their “Rework” is basically a big middle finger to the waiting community who have been waiting for over a year for her to be fixed… this is an absolute joke! “Don’t worry we have a rework in works” “sorry the rework is taking longer.” And then they dont actually make a rework… the passive stealth with reduced cooldown on teleport is a gigabuff, for not to mention they are making up for the debuff damage by adding DOTs with Virus, so basically they gave sombra auto detonating dynamite, that can be comboed with a well timed hack, and has definitively on paper at least made Sombra able to do more with the same kit as before, with less decision making on when to use stealth making it a passive.
I cannot be more unsurprised… this is exactly the kind of low quality design and costumer attention we have gotten to know Blizzard for. I whish i was surprised, but I am just so used to this. Meanwhile blizzard put more effort into their “Season 07 Trailer release” Than the fundamental issues with the game. It’s not even a new trend, the saddest part is these issues have been voiced for 5 years or more… and Blizzard’s answer is to make the same mistakes over and over as they did with WoW, classes becomming more and more similar to the point where they don’t exist, higher focus on irrelevant content such as “RPG simulator” that added absolutely 0 value to the battle pass, and a removal of 2CP because “balance will be two hard” just to add the same complexity in other game modes, and maps that are clearly unfit for the game, a 5v5 comp game where what made tank fun is now gone, and your team is 100% reliant on 1 player not leaving the game or being outmatched. The real issue with Assault was with the spawns, the same issues that Push has, and The new 3 point controlpont map game mode has. Spawn Advantage is an issue for completion, as long as we have the concept of overtime. Just make the game end when the time runs out, or limit the number of respawns, or maybe do as with Paraiso and move the spawns further away from the final point, instead of having these random matches. The game seems genuinely forsaken, or made by developers who don’t understand their own game. “Reworks” such as this one with Sombra is not a rework its marketing, bad marketing for a game that has turned “Skin-Hustling-Shop”, “We promise we hear you…” is a joke… PVE scope goes too far, and they mess it up. Then salvage what they can with a 15$ per mission price tag… its worth 2$… indie games offer better value. DND simulator pass… 0 value, Hero Progression 0 value aka reintroduced prestige levels from OW1, Hero Mastery … 0 value… Orisa was a rework for ow 2, doomfist was a rework… Sombra is not a rework… its a lie… The comp system was bad in OW1, but what everyone agreed upon was that the placements were just bad and something to get over with fast… for overwatch 2 we get INFINITE placement matches, first with 7 wins, then reduced to 5 wins which is a little better… but at the end of the day 5-0 below diamond is exactly the old SR system but with placements… 25SR per win… or as they call it “25% higher ranked than other players in your division” … if you get plat 3 “you are ranked 50% higher than other players in your division” then that is directly translated into 2650SR. you can jump multiple divisions if your MMR is still not fully calibrated, or if you go 5-0 after being 95% in higher placed in your division… then it appears as if you jump 2 divisions… this is an illusion, just as the sombra rework is an illusion… so yeah i am not surprised… it is exactly what I expected from Blizzard… and at this point it seems either like they mislead us the community on purpose, or pure incompetence, because the criticism is the same, and it hasn’t changed… at all… so clearly its either of the two: stubborness or ill intent.

maybe the issue is not in the counters existence, but rather their need to exist, because the power creep or rather the nature of the abilities arent really considered, so a hard counter ends up being just better at less effort. Maybe its a problem with the designs such as Wrecking ball and Doomfist, who legitimately require skill to play well, and then handing over a get out of free jail card combined with a uno reverse card and a +4 cards up, i swap to yellow, with the top-decking card i just got. That’s the issue. If you made the game’s counters of high skill output require a high skill counter hero then you have a fairer match up… but name me 1 hero out of doomfists counters that requires 60% or more of the skill doomfist requires, I dare you… sombra … nope, mei… nope… roadhog… not a counter… Reaper nope… bastion… not a counter… Ana… well she is a soft counter… and still requires help… zenyatta well zenyatta is not high skill either… moira… not a counter… do you see where this is going, and besides moira… the woman has 21 meter no-aim drain and lifesteal, includinge 8 second fade and escape card, and heal or damage orb… Zarya?.. please… Orisa… even more so… Its not about counters in the game or not… its about the skill required to counter skill… not matching. Right now doomfist is with out a doubt the most difficult hero to play in Overwatch2. Once you start to add teamplay and coordination to the equation then things starts to shift up, but mechanically Doomfist is still hard. And Orisa, Sombra… etc. theres a reason why they have the nickname of the constellation resembling a crab. Because it kills all fun… it makes you have no fun, and the reality is that if you are being oppressed by Doomfist or Wreckingball at the moment, you are probably deserving it. So excuse me, i dont agree with your sentiment at all.
if the entire team focus the hack, then even pro players will have to disengage, especially if they are running multiple counters and are coordinated in cooldowns and peel.
Chazm is probably the best ladder ball there is never see him swap even when the enemy swaps to 5 counters
Ball is one of the most annoying heroes in the game with 1000hp, amazing mobility.
Happy Sombra exists for the terribly designed hero.
I can’t even imagine how much more unkillable ball will be without hack.
