Genji… Isn’t fine in high ranks…
He has a 0.5-0.7% PR last time I checked, I wouldn’t call that “fine”.

This is not his meta, Genji is good with dive, in metas where his tanks enable him to get in.
He’s best against heroes with a lot of damage like Junkrat or Bastion.
The current dps and tanks… Aren’t too good in that field.
Tracer and Echo just do what he could do in this meta but better.
So the fact a hero has low pick rate doesn’t mean he’s not balanced.
during double shields people picked Reaper a lot, he didn’t recieve any nerf and yet now his pick rate is super low again.
All the depends on the meta.
But if you would look at diamond and masters his pick rate is relatively high being 3rd most picked dps in diamond and 5th most picked dps in masters.

Lmao tell that to the couple of times were dive was meta, or useable several months ago and genji gets replaced by a sniper… IN HIS OWN META. Come on now, that says something. It says A LOT if genji is not favorable or picked in a meta thats favored to him, but gets picked over for a sniper…

He wasn’t meta in October back when winston + d.va was played a lot.
First of all, widow was pretty op, she still is tbh so it’s fair.
Second of all, a hero is picked only in place he works well with and against.
Genji is all about damage as stated earlier. Dive contains no damage he can defect or use for his advantage. So while he works with dive he doesn’t counter dive.
Genji’s meta will be 1/2-1/2 with bursty heroes like Orisa,Bastion or Zenyatta while having the other 1/2 being divey heroes like Winston or Lucio to help him.
Although just so you know. The order during the dive meta was Tracer,Soldier:76,Widowmaker,Genji.
So he wasn’t too bad as well.
Either way, a hero needs to play where he’s good and the fact a hero works well with something doesn’t mean he works well against it.
Neither does Tracer. The point of metas is to work well with and against.
The short meta was Winston-D.va-Reaper-Sombra-Lucio-Moira.
Lucio is great with and against divers, Reaper & Moira counters both D.va and Winston.
And Sombra was there probably do deny Reaper and Lucio. Tbh I really have no idea why she was there, But I think it’s just the result of not having anything better while emp and hacking Lucio/Reaper can be very strong…
Although it was probably due to the meta being about in and out, using mobility to escape rather than to engage.
Ok well you managed to be factually incorrect, in your FIRST statement about doomfist… that has to be a new record… right???
Like at this point ya’ll just be blatantly lying about doom to get points across and it’s just weird dude.
But don’t forget to mention the fact all of his mobility is in a straight line, can be canceled, and is highly predictable.
