You could remove Resurrect, and Mercy would still be the best healer in the game

Okay and? Moira can do almost half of that stuff and Lucio has great mobility as well.

Mercy is pure heals where as every other support can heal and damage or anti heal at the same time. She’s one of a kind in this game. The problem isn’t mercy is op. It’s the fact. She is the only pure healer. We need more pure healing characters and not hybrids

Moira and Ana would be perfectly fine if Mercy didn’t out-class them so hard. It makes more sense to nerf the one strong hero than buff the two weak heroes.

Okay, it’s not like Mercy has been receiving buffs all this time while the other were getting constantly nerfed. What happened was Blizzard reworked a fine and balanced ultimate into the sh*t show that is Valkyrie. Mercy’s base kit is so strong that giving her a transformation ultimate broke her. Then lets not forget the 9 consecutive nerfs she got, it’s almost like, resurrect as an ability doesn’t work. Blizzard doesn’t need to nerf Mercy, they need to rework her again where resurrect is her ultimate and slightly buff the other healers.

Thing is, how do you even nerf Mercy without killing her at this point?

Touching Rez and or Valk again won’t do too much, and a lower rate of healing could remove her from the meta entirely.

Dude, are you saying that Mercy needs more nerfs ?

Yeah I agree, her mobility is best in game, but only when she uses her ult or she sees her teammates so that she can fly to them

But Mercy doesn´t need line of sight with her ally to heal/him her, yeah right… that is wrong, her beam breaks easily if your ally runs too fast

And Mercy is the only support who has to switch her weapons to shoot or heal

Top healer at every rank of play including OWL, and you think a single nerf would kill her? You can’t possibly be serious.

I honestly wouldn’t mind it if her ultimate was removed in favor of partial invulnerability, her patient will stay alive even at the brink of death beyond any threshold, but they still sustain any damage dealt to them. Pretty much it allows a single patient to survive any high damage or instant kill attacks, which would allow for heroes who have ultimates that leave them very vulnerable to attacks with a limited safe guard against all forms of damage.
An interesting way to balance that out is that the patient’s health can go into the negatives, and if you don’t heal the damage done to the patient by the time her ultimate wears off the user will immediately die.
