Yet it doesn’t take 12 seconds to teleport yourself or your team.

Also what’s wrong with several seconds.

I agree that it is a bit challenging! However, I try to position myself away from the team if the enemy Zarya has grav so I can teleport my team to me from a safe distance :+1:

Literally almost impossible to do. You need lightning reaction time + teleporter setup time is way to long. It’s just false advertisement - the same false advertisement that said her range is way longer and the beam is way thicker.

It being destroyable balances out the cooldown. What good is a TP on like a 20 second cooldown if it just gets obliterated by the enemy Junkrat?

I think between this specific example, and some of the misleading information we were given regarding her primary fire/left click beam, some of what they said was rather… skewed. Putting it nicely.

You can just read when zarya is approaching you to grav and put it down before she does. An ability can be used in anticipation not just in reaction such as a zenyatta trancing before a sombra emps and an zarya blocking a rein shatter with her self bubble

It’s not easy to predict where Zarya will toss Grav though. You could place it in the spot you believe she’ll use Grav and the next thing you know she uses it on a wall nearby that’s not close enough to the TP.

I won’t, they basically straight up lied. 90% of what they said about the rework was lies. 10 seasons of a hero being F tier even after rework. You would think they would get the second rework right but it’s even worse than before. It’s honestly a mockery to Sym players at this point.

I understand you being upset about your favorite hero changing but I honestly feel like this is a strong emotionally charged opinion.

I believe you said you have played every iteration of Sym, including 1.0? Well I haven’t, I began playing on the first anniversary and accumulated a lot of hours on her before the rework. Post rework I am having more fun and succeeding with her is easier than ever before.

I am not trying to detract from or marginalize your experience; I just disagree. What I do agree with, is some of what they said about the rework could be considered a lie. Definitely not 90% though.

You are damn right it’s a strong emotionally charged opinion :rofl: 10 seasons man… I think at this point the only reason I play Symmetra is because I’ve formed some masochistic tendencies and I’m just used to playing the game with the literal worst hero in the game.

Emotions aside, the rework is a failure. On multiple levels objectively looking at the numbers - primary is terrible. Orbs don’t pierce and radius is super small. Teleporter is gimmicky as stated. Ult is situational. Turrets die from a cough and mid-air. I would go in detail but just what’s the point. They ignored all PTR feedback as usual. I don’t have an issue that she is changed, I don’t have any problems with aiming whatsoever. I have an issue that the rework is objectively bad and they straight up lied about most of the things (the TP and the primary).

Nope, the emotional responses I’m leaving for other threads. This one I’m being very objective: Geoff said one major use of Sym’s new TP is getting her team out of Grav combo. I’m relating that I’m failing hard at doing that, and I’m asking if someone else can do it reliably. The answer thus far seems to be “no”.

I’m not saying TP is useless. I’m not saying Sym 3.0 is terrible. I’m saying it don’t allow us to do what the devs told us it was able to do. That’s all.

If you disagree, then, please, give us some pointer how we can use TP to get our teammates out of a sure team kill combo before the combo finishes. I’m being serious here that I want to learn a way to make use of that specific defensive capability.

Like I can’t tell you how many of my teammates don’t bind the interact key and because of them, I am more of a detriment to the team. Plus how does it make sense for her to be able to teleport D.Va bomb + Turrets w/o interact? You can easily grief D.Va’s and Torbs with it, but does that happen? No. I use TP to reposition my Torb and his turret so they both stay alive, and I’m sure every serious Sym player uses TP for that reason or others such as getting to high ground, escaping dangerous situations, etc… So instant use on TP wouldn’t be a problem imo.

People realising finally how TP is just a big fat gimmick no matter how they try to dress it up as “omg you can escape gravitons with this baby!!11”?

Even better when your teammates don’t even bother to use the TP and then you realise new symm power is all on ther TP lol.
