Its a spray. Get over it, its not going to change anything. You’re still going to play the game and you still have a plethora of sprays to use, and honestly if you’re this sad about a noose spray ill king/queen you for being on the edge

Right? Like people saying that removing it was needed are dumb, and people crying about it being removed are EQUALLY dumb. It’s just a spray, y’all don’t need to be spending this much time on it. It’s gone.

I think I’m more on the view of this becoming a slippery slope. I never used the spray but could this mean the removal of other things due to the political climate? Cop skins and sprays because of current debates?
Also some skins could be deemed cultural appropriation or stereotyping to some people such as Symms Devi/Godess and Zens Djinnyatta/Sunyatta legendary skins or roadhogs Toa/Islander being stereotypical fat islanders to name a few and if they’re going to fight agasint racism they would surley have to do it equally.

Those skins are the best though… The last thing you see is a guy wearing a hula skirt if you get hooked.
I love them but if Islanders see them as offensive you have to remove them because you set a precedent against removing things that can be percieved as racist.

I’m not the least bit surprised by the reactions over that noose spray being removed, honestly.
At this point, I’ve just sort of come to expect this sort of thing from some in the gaming community.

You’ll notice the usual suspects consistently make the “it’s just a [insert thing here], get over it!” argument when this nonsense occurs, but can’t then make the connection from there, to “it’s immaterial, so why did they bother?”.

What good comes out of a noose?
Like people are really fed up about this but i don’t see the problem with it. Its not like this is a skin being removed.
Actually the problem with those were that the designs and tattoos were from several different cultures.
What good comes out Mengele-esque experimentation, or allowing players to take the role of someone clearly inspired by a war criminal? Cancel Moira.
What good comes out of wanton murder and assassination? Cancel Widowmaker.
If the human/omnic divide is being used as a hamfisted narrative stand-in for racial prejudice in this story, why are we glorifying and allowing the players to take the role of a stone racist like Zarya? She simply must be cancelled.
Crusaders were historically responsible for all manner of racial and religiously driven acts of violence and murder, and yet Blizzard has the audacity to include a character like Reinhardt? Why not just bring back slavery while you’re at it, Jeff Kaplan!?
If Poe’s Law has kept you from catching on so far - if your Orwellian criteria for the inclusion of an image or concept in a piece of entertainment be that it has some kind of noble background, there are better places to begin your inquisition than a video game noose spray, and you might find that such a criteria takes you to some pretty ridiculous places.
This is a transparently stupid action, encouraged by stupid people, and undertaken for stupid reasons, which will serve only to embolden said stupid people, and help give us more transparently stupid actions down the line. Anyone who can’t understand that, or can’t understand why someone might buck against this nonsense, is well beyond the sort of help a post on an internet video game forum might provide.
