With how they did this they overnerfed her.

Really she needs orb damage buffed past 100

I suppose it’s because those require actual precision and are less of a throw and forget orb you shoot in the general direction

You can’t really give Symmetra straight buffs without making her more demanding at same time, otherwise she will be oppressive and stomp in low ranks even more than OW1

Noticed the projectiles. Swapped off of her after I died the first time.

Too much risk, not enough reward in this hero.

The probably nerfed the teleport because of push, teleport was broken on push maps, they are prob going to rework sym.

Probably if they wanted sym to be viable they need to change her primary fire so they can increase the damage but add a cooldown like they did with Oriza primary fire, and the turrets, probably they need to make the turrets more like a “recon” thing like a sonar or something like that.

I’m putting this complain in my “2cp was better than Push, lmao” folder. Expect to hear my report after the official release of the game.

They should just rework Sym back to Support! It’s just a joke now.

They rework Sombra so she can deal more damage and be a real DPS, but for Sym it’s just a joke.

Except it was demonstrably underpowered in its old incarnation (so they changed it) and this one, while faster, is significantly shorter range than the old temporary one (22m down from 25m) and longer cooldown (16s, starting on deploy, up from 12s).

Back to how it was, but worse, although you might save from a Doom ult or Grav now and then if you’re lucky.

The teleporter change back to the original Sym 3.0 teleporter is a huge buff for Sym’s mobility.
The teleporter distance nerf is questionable, but I’ll be honest, I would rather have the Teleporter be useful & really helpful for Symmetra if it meant it was not useable for her teammates, when she is a Damage hero.
But I guess that will never happen.


The only issue with this version of Sym is the secondary fire.

The damage nerf for the increase in its speed is a fair trade.

But the biggest issue that makes her feel off, using her secondary fire, is the increased charge time to reach full charge on the orbs.
This is the biggest issue with this Sym 3.2.

I’ll say it again - all she needs is her 3.0 nerfs removed. Literally, that’s all.

It’s crazy how the dev team has no clue what to do with Symmetra. They should do a full rework like they did Orisa.

that teleporter looks so cheap… the beam doesn’t feel as powerful… the ball… is prettier but… not even that pretty

the way the orb is made to charge at 1.2 second is atrocious!, you cant even use it for follow up finisher/dmg when your beam cant reach the target anymore because of how long it took, the enemy would have find a cover or health recovered by their healer before you can land that thing. utterly garbage

Yea, the 0.2 second increase feels really weird. I had the charge time down pat for when I could fire off a full or near full charge shot but now? Not so much and if feels bad.

The Blizzard balance team never ceases to surprises me.

It’s a worse 3.0 tp in every way except build time, though…? Lower health, higher cooldown, lower range… though the range part is bugged rn in the beta so it still has about 30m. So she’s supposed to be even worse. I actually used to like old 3.0 tp but this is just not it.

Sym 3.0 teleporter is very similar to this Sym 3.2 teleporter in almost every way.
These are directly from the patch notes from June 2018:
Teleporter

  • Can now place the exit up to 25 meters away from Symmetra
  • Entrance will automatically be built in front of Symmetra, rather than at her team’s spawn point
  • Lasts 10 seconds
  • Health lowered to 300

The Teleporter in the OW2 beta is almost exactly the same, and the Sym 3.0 teleporter was way better to use for Symmetra, instead of the current Sym 3.1 teleporter on Live Servers.

Yeah… as I said… lower health, higher cooldown, lower range. I wouldn’t mind actual 3.0 tp as much but live tp is way better than beta tp.

I genuinely don’t understand WHY they literally just gave her like eight nerfs? She barely sees any playtime and their solution was make her terrible. Love that!
