Widowmaker has no gun sounds?

Ive tried different skins & restarting the game.
My sound effect volume is on 100%

Widowmaker doesnt have any gun sounds except from reload and when you actually hit someone/a bot.

No actual shooting sounds. Its really off putting.

This is affecting a bunch of characters (e.g. Mauga, Orisa, Ball, Sojourn, etc.) - shooting audio is gone/silenced (PS5).

Same for me, first noticed it with Orisa. Really messed me up not hearing the gun sounds

Multiple Primary and Secondary fire sound effects muted or missing.
(PS4 edition on PS5 console)

Yeah i have the same problem but only with widow and maybe Sojourn cant really tell. (Ps5)

Same problem here, I have resetted all my ow2 settings, resetted my ps4 settings even deleted ow2 and redownloaded and Widowmakers weapons still do not have any sound. All other characters dont have this issue for me. :confused:

GUYS THE DEVS DO NOT CARE ABOUT US, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT PC, IF THIS WAS A PC BUG IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED WITHIN HOURS, I guarantee this last atleast 2 weeks. They have no idea how to prioritize the player base and it’s sad because this team use to be amazing

So far, by the various reports/threads on the forum here, it appears as though the following have no audio when discharging their weapons:

  • Mauga
  • Orisa
  • Widow
  • Sojourn
  • Ball
  • Lifeweaver
  • S76’s mythic weapon
  • Baby DVA’s pistol

Feel free to add to the list as we find more missing audio.

Updated 18-Nov: Added S76 and Baby DVA

As well as these, D.va’s pistol also has no sound effects for me

Yeahh same here on widow and orisa… it’s so annoying how overwatch is having these stupid bugs. I imagine it will be fixed soon enough though, it’s just really don’t know why ow keeps having these issues man. It seemingly happened after the new classic update :confused:

I have the same issue, I was considering buying the widowmaker mythic skin but not anymore. No point in buying a skin if the character is bugged

Facing the same issue here with Widowmaker! I’m on ps4 Pro and it’s been like that since the new update! I hope they’re gonna fix it soon cause it’s really invalidating, it just ruins the game experience with the character!

Well, at least they’ve acknowledged it in a blue post about bugs (14-Nov bug update). Now we sit and wait…
