Personally, I find that the current version of Mercy is the best version of Mercy…as such, I dont feel the character is “butchered”

That’s hardly relevant. The character was designed in a way that was intended by the developer, it worked well and then a major change had to be made because of a large amount of bad overwatch players. That’s butchering, regardless of what you personally like.

Factually, the dev team explained why/how mass rez did not work well in the video message that was associated with the removal of mass rez
To me, the term “butchered” carries with it the connotation that the character doesnt operate as well anymore, and I feel she operates far better in her current state than she ever has.
If you wish to see butchery, ask Torb for an armor pack
The statements I quoted appear to me to have been stated as fact
Then factually you misinterpreted my text, which to me is surprising since it is common knowledge that no concrete boots appear on screen or in the animation. I thought the metaphor was obvious, but it would appear that figurative speech is not obvious to everyone.

The two statements I read were “I have concrete boots on” and “frozen in place”
These appear to me, even after your clarifications, as statements made as facts; though they are not facts in regards to Mercy’s movement while performing rez
Having Mercy dominate across all the ranks by sheer value of being easy to play wasn’t healthy for the game. I don’t mind her dominating low or mid ranks. But she simply doesn’t belong at the high ranks.

So even after clarifying that 75% movement reduction feels like having concrete boots when your enjoyment comes from swoosh swoosh (guardian angel) and also clarifying that it was meant as figuratively you are going back to throwing the grammar law in my face? Because i shouldn’t have to play such a ridiculously easy hero.
I shouldn’t have to play the pacifist in an action based fps. I should have room for skill expression. If the more difficult options are inferior to this mindnumbing hero at the top, then what hopes do i have?
I wish she didn’t exist at all tbh.
So that people would stop asking for buffs or her being strong at the top.
