It means that you are stuck with the estimations made by the game and it is debatable how good those are considering the huge gap in skill within a single rank.
And yes, a well made system will let you climb as long as you are doing good and not just throws unwinnable games at you when you start winning too much.
This is why rank reset exists in other games and it gives an initiative to keep playing comp.
A) if you play a lot of games, you are only stuck if you deserve to be there (and no, hard work doesnāt earn you the right to be higher, improvement does)
B) A rank reset does not solve the problem of wide ranging skills in a single rank. Removing derankers, banning throwers and improving the match maker does.
C) the game doesnāt throw unwinnable games at you - on the flip side, your win streaks must because the game throws unloseable games at you. Unlessā¦
D) you outperform your rank consistently and the game throws you more SR per win (in metal ranks) than a loss. If you are not getting this, a rank reset will also land you in the same place.
New accounts let certain players climb higher due to their psychological makeup, not because Blizzard has coded a devious AI baked in their matchmaker to keep them down on their mains.
You see, you arenāt improving because youāre not taking responsibility. To you, your failures are not your own; its rigged match making! Its your team! It canāt possibly be YOU.
And if you have no reason to improve, you wonāt try. You wonāt try, so you donāt rank up. And there you are: hard stuck diamond. If you want to escape it, you need to own your Ls.
One of your problems is you think that. Look aim to improve always and sometimes that means not playing comp and using the workshop or w/e.
You can get to diamond by playing a lot and having some understanding of the game but now youāll meet players that can have really good game sense and/or mechanical skill + communication/teamwork. Youāll need to unlearn habits you have from plat/gold and relearn the game because youāll be easy if you donāt. Time isnāt the key but using the time well. This can be watching better players, reviewing your vods ect ect.
So drop the entitlement and get back to the grind! Good luck!
If youāre talking about 8 year old savants, the instances of that are so rare that it doesnāt make sense to talk about. Itās the exception that proves the rule.
Letās clarify terms here, are you talking about innate talent vs. acquired skill?
Dedication is one of the most important attributes of success.
What does this even mean? Try speaking in complete thoughts.
The same thing youāre arguing about, genius. Have you forgotten the topic already?
Thanks Captain Obvious.
Who said it wouldnāt be ok? What are you talking about? Do you even know?
Youāre not even using this insult properly. Jesus. Iām pretty sure youāre the last person who should be discussing savants, high performance, etc. You can barely communicate.
Except learning how to use cover well, what high ground is for, what a flank is for and how to execute them isnāt the same thing as being tone deaf.
The only reason one canāt learn these things is if they wanna make excuses and shirk personal improvement.
You can literally climb to masters with meh aim and just knowing basic things, just sounds like you wanna make excuses cause you tried something once and it didnāt work.
Can you learn 2+2=4? then you can improve with dedication the same way all those 8 year old gms did.
Because you did not improve during that amount of playtime, still belonging at the bracket you are at. The only constant in all of your games is yourself.
