Why is there no backfill for leavers in comp

three. games. in. a. row. Ive had a leaver while i try to push for diamond in comp. (im at 2960 and its for damage and support) and not leavers just in the game, no leavers in the first minute or so, so the whole game gets cancelled. WHY IS THERE NO BACKFILL. I had to wait four 12 minute queues to finally get in a game that ended up having a duo of tank trollers on my team. does overwatch seriously hate me this much? making me spend almost an hour just waiting for one game and it to be a loss before it even started. so frustrating jesus

I’ve long advocated for it, and feel that it’s needed now more than ever with Role Queue.

Competitive needs backfill

Having a competitive mode without anything in place to help a team recover from a leaver/disconnect is an absolute travesty. Blizzard needs to add backfill to competitive. If someone leaves or disconnects from a match, then someone else can load in to take their place. Have a “reserves bench” system in place for if the disconnected player reconnects (thus allowing for them to avoid the leaver penalty) and give them the option to rejoin the match at the start of a new map. With a few tweaks to see it fit with Competitive it would be the end of the problem of leavers.
