Why are we getting animated shorts that are exported in 1080p and LESS than 30 fps? Blizz I know your a small indie company but seriously. At almost no point does the video actually hit the 30 FPS mark. Also 1080p In 2018 ALMOST 2019 is unacceptable for a multi BILLION dollar company.
I mean. Even mid tier gaming computers can render things like the short at 4k 60 in a reasonable amount of time.
As a film student, even the inanely low end computers we use in our class can do 1080p 30 in a reasonable time and they were constructed in the later part of 2011.
The low frame rate is actually unpleasant to watch.

because well…technically increasing it would make the movie in slow motion no?
Why complain for the sake of complain?
Just download of these VIDEO-PLAYERS allow you playvideos at 144/240 hz.
No… I need to make a topic to complain cuz i dont have anything better to do my sunday
i mean, i don’t think any more in general is filmed entirely in 60 fps…because well…why?
They made a cinematic using cinematic format?
What the actual F Blizz!

and i just learned why, because it makes everything look natural, because that fps is close to the “fps” our eyes are, also it means you can transfer it to other mediums without losing frames
so basically, 60 fps is 1.5 times longer to make, 1.5 more expensive, and 1.5 more painstaking
so…why do it? when it doesn’t even look any better
No. This standard for animated since 1997 is 30 fps. Moved up to 60 fps in 2012 when the animation industry exploded.
24 FPS is 1930’s film and 15 fps is 1930’s animation. With the advent of color film the standard was raised to 29.5 fps in the 50s.
The thing is. This is NOT normal for 2018. Its far below industry standard.
Look at the Mei’s and Dva’s They were 1080p 60 fps.

sorry…to be honest i just heard that once
It’s fine. just never utter those words again
also…disney still makes their animated films in 24fps for theatrical releases
The way we animate now its not 1.5 anything. Everything is done using 3d models and animation paths. It has NOTHING to do with what export settings they chose.
They did the animation. But they CHOSE to export it in 1080p 25 FPS when 1080p 60 would have taken at most 30 seconds longer.
also i assume you got this info from…youtube?
false, dva’s animation was done in 1280x720 24fps
Just looked it up on youtube. Dva’s is 1080p 60
Also no. Im a film student. It’s literally my career path to know about film’s and animation.
