so if we’re losing a teamfight and the enemy gets some picks off, i always try to back off to wait for the team return. (funny how this wasnt as big of a problem when there was 6v6 with 2 tanks). but i often see people who refuse to run away and decide it’s worth fighting a 1v3/1v4/1v5. and then they die and then we’re staggered and it just keeps happening. i try to be polite and nice and not forceful (lets group up, dont fight alone) but most of the time i get (duhhhrrrr ItS jUsT qP bRo) or no response back at all
If you don’t accept, “it’s just QP” as an appropriate response, then you are the problem.
People play video games to have fun, not to min-max YOUR chances of winning.
i mean, don’t they want to win too? i don’t really see what’s so fun about running in to die in 5 seconds or less without getting to do anything cool or useful.
To be fair, you shouldn’t be staggering even in quickplay. And if you are dumb enough to consistently do it, you deserve the salty man child insulting your intelligence because facts are facts.

TLDR their ever growing and changing.
Most are hero if not map specific. Let alone what your actually playing with.
And teaching such can cause more harm then not, simply by feeding people outdated data. That will be the basics for peoples first several hours of just getting back handed by some actual decent player, that abuses the defualt comp strat this establishes.
It’s the golden issue with any multiplayer PVP game, as like your interacting with some of the most random and arbitrary mechanics in any game as in other human beings.
We have QP, then Comps
There should be a third mode
QP-to practice (like hog hooks, or widow’s sniping…)
QP-to practice by playing for real but no ranking (this mode is missing)
Comps-to play for real with ranking
Since the middle mode is missing, you get people who are trying to practice by playing for real, end up wasting their time for 15 games straight because the teammates were like “it’s just Qp bross”
there should be a mode to practice how to play comps, not a mode to practice how to snipe.

If you want to practice “playing for real,” go play Competitive. That’s exactly what it’s there for.

Your going to just get normal QP game sort of stuff in both modes.
Players are not going to suddenly treat theses modes differently, you can’t put that responsibility on the players end. They simply won’t care in mass.
Ya’ll don’t take practice exams before exams? Some of us do.

Tournaments, OWL, what have you. If you’re getting sponsored and paid to participate in championships, that’s your real exam.
so practice exams get recorded on the grade book (comps). Wow that’s some high class school you went to. good one.

Yes, practice exams get graded. That’s how you know whether you did well or not. What would be the point of a practice exam if nobody graded it and told you how well you did?
I have fun when in any mode out side of specific officially designated areas like customee games, practices arenas, or whatever everyone is playing a “5 person team based fps” at all times in all modes I and then downloaded said game an fps shooter to shoot at the enemy team, otherwise why did I downloaded the game? Regardless of comps existence there are specifically designated modes for you to emote with the ebemy team and places for you to play the game.
Based on the Creator and controller of this games words tho I don’t agree quick play is “Sweaty and try hard” not in the sense of you having to always counter pick or what have you, not a single implication of this game not from the OFFICIAL GAME CREATOR nor the game itself implies this is something acceptable, things like emoting with the enemy team, dying repeatedly, and throwing yourself off the map just like comp is the “Officially designated mode for super try harding” we have Officially designated modes for not treating this game as a 5 v 5 fps “Team” based shooter.
Quick play no matter how you spin it is not one of them, if someone is looking for such an area why not just play another game entirely?

Once upon a time, back in ye olden days, when nerfhammers flew frequent and Jeff was still with us, Blizzard actually ENCOURAGED players to teach players. It was the literal reason endorsements were introduced. Lyfe wuz guud.
Now however, the report bot algorithm rules and you cannot even have chat turned on anymore.
