Did they think that he somehow needed even less skill to play? He’s already one of the best heroes in the game, did he also need an actual free 100-odd damage that you don’t need to aim?
You need to aim it more than you needed to aim the flashbang. It can definitely miss.
he’s mid at best in ow2. the grenade is annoying but he needs something strong considering his hitbox and lack of sustain
He’s an anti flanker.
Cuz they were out of creativity when designing that thing.
I’ think they should do something like this:
Disagree, they are just about as easy to hit with, flashbang though could actually be aimed more, by the fact you could actually flash a top a Rein shield/Genji deflect, wich you cannot do anymore.
It’s fine as is. I do think it would be interesting to leave it as a sticky grenade, remove the homing aspect, then give it the same throw range as Ana’s nade. Just to see what happens.
.why are u trolling?
Flash was AoE and could not possibly miss unless you really screwed it up. The magnetic grenade is about as easy to lock on, but it can easily miss moving targets or be out-distanced by them. You need to pick the right time to throw it to account for that.
I’m pretty sure they are about the same in terms of how easy it is to hit your one target, this current awful thing has more range than the old awful thing, the thing is, this one homes in whatever is closest to your crosshair while Flash had a big radius, wich i guess makes Flash easier to hit things behind cover but thats about it.
Making this one the most boring one, since you cant even use it in anticipation or throw it over cover, or in the ground or anything, it doesnt home after leaving his hand, it homes immediately at button press.
Like its crazy, flash was already one of the most boring abilities to use in OW1, they figured out a way to make a replacement thats even more so, i legit despise this thing lmao.
The thing is, this combo is a lot harder to pull off than flash + fan. In OW1, any 250hp or lower hero getting hit by a flash was almost guaranteed to be dead. In OW2, you must land a body shot on the moving target in order to kill them, and if they’re being healed then it’ll take at least two.
My issue with it is not even about how strong it is, in fact, since its so pathetically weak i dislike even more dying to it cuz i know something went awfully wrong for it to happen, my issue is with its utterly uninspired design, they just took Tracer’s pulse, put a HOMING capability to it, taking away any skill from it and nerfed its damage then called it a day, oof.
Not to mention because it deals 131 damage it leaves just about enough damage for you to only need to bodyshot some1 once after, making it also a crutch for when the Cass player cant aim well enough, awful.
Since Cass does seem to be on the weaker side, i really hope they do something to make that awful thing more inspired and also do something to Fan The Hammer, since its also makes just about as much sense in his kit than if he had a jetpack.
I mean in every way it is the spiritual successor to flashbang. It’s a quick kill combo at close range that’s fairly accessible. The range is a little further than before, but the skill requirement is a little higher than before.
Again, it doesnt not take more skill, it takes even less than before or just about the same when there is no cover, its just awful, not to mention it takes so long to explode that a good flanker character can react to it about 5 times and use one of their defensive cooldowns if they even need it (Reaper: Wraithform, Tracer : Recall, Sombra : Translocator, Genji can actually deflect it 100% of the time unlike before), or just kill Cassidy in that time lmao.
Not to mention it does literally nothing to help him defensively against some1 that can survive its damage like a nanoed squishy or a tank.
Like i’m all for it to not be as strong as flash once was, it shouldnt be, 5v5 favors dpses so much, but this useless and uninspired, nope.
Pretty much every streamer has put him in D tier
Hes not D tier imo, hes mid C.
it literally hones in on the target, this is not true at all
You must not play Cassidy. The grenade often misses.
It still homes in to a good portion of your crosshair, if you miss it is cuz you were way off.
Because he was designed to keep flankers in check.
