Why are people’s opinions instantly incorrect because they play a hero, nobody’s opinion is instantly wrong because they main say bastion. If someone mains Ashe that doesn’t mean their opinion about Doomfist is instantly incorrect.
People who like a hero generally have biased opinions about their counters. Many times it’s subconscious.
You play a popular and currently overpicked hero, you’re gonna get flack because you supposedly have a “privileged” perspective.

because it works both ways. People will think you are biased and will show their biases in return if they play characters who do poorly against your hero or if they just hate how your character works. It just amplifies.

It’s pretty true, but the thing I get the most is that when I think that say that x hero is op everyone’s like “STUPID SALTY GENJU WEEB JUST GET GUD LIKE YOU TOLD EVERYONE.” Even though when you look through my activity there isn’t anything like that. Also I have seen many pics about toxic genji mains who are honestly not the best people and screenshots.

i have a strong hate against genji for personal reasons i often get attacked for playing Tracer or D.va as im trash with other tanks and can do somewhat decent with d.va while with Tracer people used to be annoyed with her but now in days they get mad even if she is played as she doesnt have the effectiveness she used to have while they insanely buffed some characters
