Most likely this. The word absurd often has a negative connotation associated with it.

So while the OP might just be hoping to hear silly things, it will more likely turn into others attacking people over their opinion. I assume it might also indirectly encourage people to name others.

Edit: @Rainbow, I would also be aware, making threads about moderation is ironically against the CoC and will likely be locked as well.

Only those that are super positive about almost everything, and don’t have an opinion on a lot of things due to fear of backlash.

And a few big posters with really high post counts.

It’s not really a good comparison, however. Jelly’s thread is asking people who they first played. There’s no inherit opinion or any sentiment that might encourage a negative opinion of other posters within the OP. It also asks about something factual for individual posters rather the opinion of what others think on other people’s posts.

Let’s say you have your thread going. There’s inevitably going to be people who mock others due to their opinions on sexuality / character lore, mocking others for being outspoken with their opinions, etc.

Jelly’s post doesn’t encourage that whether directly or indirectly. The mod also explained their reasoning in the post. It’s almost certain that sort of thread has been made before and quickly turned negative.
