Assuming you’re a God, which DPS character would you say carries the hardest?
Widow (also in before cry baby DPS say none of them can)
I don’t disagree, but widow can be very situational. She can however get multiple picks, turning the tide quickly.
Tracer and hanzo can in most situations if you are good at them.
Widow is extremely situational but very strong in those situations.
Ashe is obviously currently pretty good.
But long term tracer hanzo zen etc are fundamental based heroes and you will improve more with them
You will blast one fight with picks then whole team will only think of you😂
Probably tracer. Sone of the best movement and being able to one clip people within a second is crazy. Not everyone can do it. But once you can she just can carry.
Soldier and Tracer. Ashe too.
Basically any of the meta enforced hitscan DPS are easy, safe and powerful at just about any rank.
Widow, on the other hand, is less of a safe pick but her impact is far stronger and even in her ‘‘worst’’ maps she can perform better than 70% of the DPS role.

Tracer isn’t easy, one of the hardest heroes in the game.
Not to brag, but I can say I’ve carried on KR at least once on defense, popping off near the payload.
Widow, tracer, cass.
Tracer was hard during OW1 when she had things to fear.
After OW2, and specially S9, Tracer has become nearly unpunishable outside select hitscan DPS with high burst.
She is one of the most picked and successful bronze DPS at this point.
It’s just hyperbole and wrong, I could say Mercy is so OP she carries games, doesn’t make it to be true.
She’s still one of the hardest heroes in the game.
This is just cope and delusion at this point.
175hp and bigger bullets destroyed any semblance of skill floor she had. She fears little and requires basic aiming skills.
She is now a bronze staple on top of being GM perma-meta. Soldier 76 2: Flanker Boogaloo.
The difference is that Mercy keeps getting nerfed, while Tracer has been net buffed during the entirety of OW2.
But regardless, Overbuff’s stats dont lie. Stats that the devs have outright confirmed to match their own more than once by now.

Tracer and Widow on her maps. Any other answer is wrong.
I am not sorry but at this point there is no other thing to say.
Pretending that Tracer’s skill floor has remained high through several buffs is just being obstinate and contrarian.
Buffed heroes become easier, nerfed heroes become harder. Simple as that.
Every map is a Tracer map at this point. I cant think of a map where Tracer isnt at least neutral.
Ashe would be my pick. Constant uptime with dynamite is very oppressive and the hero’s mobility and optimal range plays well in almost all maps.
In this scenario, Widow, no contest. Tracer takes longer to get into range, Ashe takes more shots to kill and has a shorter range, Hanzo has a projectile.
Widow kills faster and from further away. She’s the most oppressive character in the game.
If a new player wants to know who to learn to carry the hardest, they should learn Widow and get good at flicks then they can transfer those skills to Ashe and Cass if they want to and that pretty much covers all ranges and situations while allowing them to transfer their skills and perform extremely well.
If someone wants to learn to track, they should practice tracer, then if they’re decent at both her and Widow, they can play Sojourn and pretty much every damage character that has ever been good and are always good. I wouldn’t recommend characters like Venture, Sym, Mei, or even Genji because they either require much more effort to perform as well as the hitscans while also allowing more room for counterplay from the enemy and/or their kits and weapons don’t transfer as well as the hitscans so there’s less flexibility.
