What?! Are you saying you never got excited when those old JCPenny or Sears catalogs would show up in the mail? They showed off all the potential Christmas goodies you could… erm… buy… I mean “add to wish list” for ol’ 
Maybe that’s what Blizzard needs to do to get people hyped: send out doorstopper-sized print catalogs of their upcoming lineup. Maybe discontinue the free download and make boxed game copies with printed manuals. Like they used to do. Also provide the option to buy the official Prima strategy guide. And all only available at your local Electronics Boutique and Babbage’s at a mall near you.
Or return the old trickle feed of loot boxes. They can be non-paid for and just exist alongside the shop to give some real sense of reward and incentive to play. Plenty of rich impatient gamers will still buy out the cosmetics, keeping the game afloat. Oh, right. Gotta min/max the greed.

I have never seen such a mid-tier battlepass in all my life with those skins. I’ve earned enough OW coins to get this for free but even then getting it for free wouldn’t be worth it.
- Midtier BP Skins
- Lucio ball returns because god forbid you make another game mode.
- You’re adding more to hero mastery which im fairly sure you said you were removing because literally no one was playing.
- A new map for the worst thing to hit OW since pre-nerf Sojourn
- A new QP game mode which you’re clearly using to experement with new passives likely in a way to see what makes tanks actually playable, yall are as clear as Glass, yall ain’t slick.
- Shop update because you gotta get that $$$ with old skins that you’ve upcharged on
- One mildly interesting Transformers collab which can only mean another $50-70 dollar bundle for 2-4 skins.
How yall keep this game breathing astounds me every day.

Bobby crashed the ship into the iceberg and then promptly bailed. We’re left in the aftermath of his absence. Much of the OG ship crew has also fled or been kicked off too. The situation is not going to fix itself anytime soon… or possibly ever.

I’m officially done with Overwatch Cosmetics.
I will support indie developpers, I fully give up. They expect people to spend 300$ every 2 months.

Y’know… I’ve given the cosmetics my fair share of criticism, but I gotta admit I’m down for the Ashe skin. It was literally my longshot guess that I thought wouldn’t happened.

Honestly that’s my only issue with prisms at the moment. They’re adding more ways to spend them, but not allowing us to earn more or reducing the mythic prices.
It’s a minimum of $40 to unlock the base skin and a min of $70 for a full unlock. That’s far too much imo. I stand by mythic prisms being $20-30 for 80.
It still incentivizes people to pay for battle passes, it’s should still be profitable, but isn’t so high a price that most people aren’t tempted.
…But I still think just adding a slight surplus to the BP is best. That way if people are a bit short they can either wait two seasons (~6 months) or they can pay ~$10 for the last bit they need.
It would be $80…not that it’s much better of a price for digital goods.
