What's with the overuse of stereotypes?

I love how Blizzard created that dumb diversity tool thing to “prevent tokenism and stereotypes” and then made all 3 of their Japanese characters ninjas. We got two Americans who are cowboys, two Europeans who are knights and a Korean gamer…

Let’s make a middle eastern hero a pyrotechnic while we’re at it, or maybe give a Mexico hero some maracas that causes earthquakes.

You can make a hero without relying on where they come from. It’s getting tired, really tired.

I would have said sombrero but I thought that was too easy. Some people are just that dumbo I suppose

They did have a hand in it though. Their characters existed in the tool, they allowed it to happen. They’re just as guilty as the people who actually coded the stupid program

Just because King used Blizzard characters for the demo, doesn’t mean Blizzard has anything to do with it.

OW is all about stereotypes but in a more comic kind of way.

Also blizz never used it and also did not make it. It was from KING. Please inform yourself.

And that’s coming from me. I hate blizzard and routinely boycott them for months or years at a time based on the most recent scandals.

Hero designs seems to swing between the 2 extremes: total stereotype and nothing that hints from where the hero even is. There is nothing in between.

A sombra with a sombrero would have been awesome though.
