1st and only attempt: 210ms average, fastest 193ms
296MS average for a support player â oof!
What? Youâre faster than most. And your reaction time wonât start getting slower until youâre in your 60âs.
There are fighter pilots in their 40âs and 50âs for example.
Iâd like everyone taking this test to keep in mind that the results you get are going to be pretty widlyl dependent on your environment. The monitor you use, the computer you have, the browser youâre running, etc, all have an influence in the input and output latency on top of your own reaction time. The same person can probably swing 100+ms just depending on what computer/setup you use.
Trying this later. Must be pretty low
I want to follow this up with an actual example:
At work on my laptop (Surface Pro 4) I scored anearly 300ms average. My desktop at work was about 230ms. And my home computer gaming machine was 180ms.
The hardware you use is actually very important for accurate results
48 here, got 270ms.
Mercy and Rein 4Life.
Kinda ironic for this thread, about reaction time and stuffâŚ
Iâm 41, so I remember when there was no interwebz
I remember playing Red Alert 1 as a direct modem connect with a friend. Had to tell his father to stop answering the phone.
Average 283 ms, getting oldâŚ
Few years younger here.
Red Alert came out in 1996, right? After the C&C. I did that too lol
Average 187ms, my reaction time is nowhere near where it was
The monitor you use, the computer you have, the browser youâre running,
We always can check it, right? Ill switch display from 144 to 60hz and mouse from 500 to 125hz and try again.
Average 257ms, youre absolutely right ha
Age will not set you back reactiontime-wise - at least not for a very, very long time.
It does, I can feel it. I can see how I react too late which didnt happen when I was 15 years old Quake gamer.
Monitor refresh rate is more important. I use a 240hz and did this test last year. I cant remember the ms but i was statistically constantly in the top 1% of response times. Tried it on my regular phone and my response time was garbage.
Using a fast computer and low latency / high framerate monitor will improve your score.
Biggest difference right there.
you should play a game called For Honer then. they got light attacks up to 200ms
i think youâd be a great assassin in that game
Iâve taken that a few times before, it always jumps between 200-300 range, it really depends on the day.
To anyone who scores low and feels bad about it, I think you shouldnât worry too much about those tests. Donât let it get to you. Reaction time doesnât matter that much until youâre really pushing the limits skill-wise. What matters is how you prioritize certain stimuli and how you react to them on instinct. Try doing that test while thinking about something else, like a math problem⌠Youâll have horrible scores. Theyâll get better over time, but theyâll be awful and thatâs why generic reaction time tests are pretty meaningless for most situations.
Iâve seen plenty of people take upwards of a second or more to react to things ingame, or if they do react, it hasnât fully registered yet. Theyâre aware or a stimuli, but havenât processed it fully, and canât respond to it. Shaving 50ms off of their reaction time wouldnât have mattered nearly as much as having the proper reaction comitted to instinct. The less you think about, and the more effectively you respond to certain things naturally, the faster you react properly to things ingame. I would worry about that before worrying about doing abstract reaction time tests on a regiment.
I am a Plat Main Tank and my reaction time is around 190 ms according to human benchmark
My reaction time is thus:
I clicked on this thread when it was first made⌠and I am now replying.
My visual reaction time is not that fast tbh
I averaged around 185 ms, granted my ping is never below 60, but still lots of room for error considering Iâm just clicking a screen of green.
What I do know is my reaction time via audio is much faster
consistent 160-170ms
Jokes aside, 238.

Roughly 170 average, around top 89% percentile. Guess many years of gaming has come to some fruition. I notice that Iâm quicker to react in games now a days, despite being older.
