50 health + 100 shield, like Zenyatta of old?
What if Tracer was 75 hp 75 shields?
Better yet - what if we just gave the support healing passive to every non-tank?
I mean what will that do. it’s not like Widows have problems of not getting healed, and healing up 50 hp isn’t going to make a difference in most interactions

How about 200hp, but the grapple takes at least a half sec to gain any momentum, and if Widow takes 15 damage while on the grapple, it breaks the grapple.
No more “get out of jail free” card.
Widow dies because she is not mobile enough. hook takes too much cd. she is basically slow af.
Also not allowing her to quickscope in a fast paced game is ridiculous.

Yeah because sustain is overpowered. Make artificial (sustain caused by healing, immo, and damage reduction) sustain bad like it is supposed to be, and Widow will fall off hard.
Her death rate is pretty high for a character that has to hide behind team mates.
in competitive she has one of the highest. in quick play it is low because she is often ignored.
Seriously she has higher deathrate than some front line dps characters like genji and reaper.
Only pharah has higher death rate than her and that because she is literally a flying duck.

Turn Immortalities into healthgates that only block burst damage, increase healing out of combat, but decrease in-combat heals, and reduce the peel effectiveness of Repair Pack and Weaver Pull by making it so they don’t pierce through enemy Winston bubbles.
Yeah, and if Widow is a problem then, then we can talk about nerfing her range. I feel like another falloff nerf (where she can only OHKO 200 HP heroes at Ashe Range, and 250-300 at a shorter range) would force her into more unsafe positions without taking the easy way out and touching her hp again. The point of her is to be the best at long ranges, so making it easier to approach her should be the goal, instead of making her weaker inside her one niche. Lowering her hp would just make other heroes killing her at ranges they have no business contesting her at.
Honestly, shield health is underutilized in game. You could probably remove the support passive, and instead replace part of each Support’s health pool with shield health. That way they can only heal themselves so much passively, while still keeping some self sustain w/o cooldown usage, even if limited.
Oh, and I guess maybe seeing more shield health would give Sym players some joy. I know a lot of people would be happy to see Sym get anything.
She would be considerably worse. At 175 she already dies easier, she would be so free for dive heroes at 150.

Well I’d be willing to give it a try, but I think this would be far more like this would be far more direct on the “Widow dies more” approach.
Since if ya look at TF2, the Sniper is basically auto-lose to almost any close range 1v1 duel.
Since you need some extreme counterplay against a short TTK character, in an otherwise medium TTK game.

They do this, but keep the support passive and nerf sym bust cause they refuse to have Kiriko not be the best hero in the game 100 percent of the time.
My issue with that is that it would feel clunky as hell. This is why I was also against most of the current support nerfs. Widow’s issue in 5v5 is that she has too much range with not enough ways to block it. Giving Widow a lower range would be able to allow dive heroes to keep up the pressure even if she does grapple away without a risk of being domed outside of their control. Like for Genji, she’ll be far easier to close the distance on because she has to grapple to a spot closer to get that OHKO (which will probably get her easily followed-up), go to her team where she can be cleaned up by the frontline, or fully retreat to where she no longer has a OHKO. Either way, it’s a massive W for the dive hero.

Neither tbh. I think 175 is perfect where she’s at, and she does not need a faster escape. Either one would completely break her regardless of the grapple breaking. 200 HP is just too tanky and 6 second grapple would just mean the widow would be way too evasive even if it did break (good widows grapple away before you even get there). It would just punish low rank widows for no reason. It’d just be a bandage on a bullet wound. It wouldn’t fix anything.
