I haven’t 100% quit as I will play once every 4-6+ months.
But because of how little that is I guess we can consider it quitting.
My reasons are pretty simple. 5v5 and RQ suck and they canned PvE without actually giving it a chance. They lied and claimed to be working on an MMO again when we all know they weren’t, they just wanted to place the blame on anything they could to justify not working and firing a good 150 people.
The monetization is also atrociously bad. They have a collab skin for Kiriko marked up to 2600 coins right now, sure you can filter out in the hero gallery to get that for 1000 only but they marked the bundle up absurdly high for no acceptable reason, its just cause Kiriko(who shouldn’t even be part of this collab) was forced in. And that’s just one of several problems, never mind the fact that most characters do not get new, unique, or original skins anymore, everything goes to Mercy and Kiriko(a separate issue but definitely one that has caused me to quit, I don’t care enough about these 2 characters and I never will now).
I also have an extreme issue with events now. They want a minimum of 80 games played per every event. This is abusive of anyone’s time. I always said if they removed the 9 game win requirement they would abusively change things to require you to play an absurd amount of games. Most events don’t reward anything of value that would be worth a minimum of 80 slogfest 5v5 games. I know this event is giving a minimum of 4 new skins and a maximum of 9(because of abusive twitch drop campaigns) but it’s still heinous and we all know why they even decided to give away at least 3 of these currently obtainable skins(thank you Rivals, screw you Blizz).
The last reason is 100% the community. People have falsely flagged my truthful posts numerous times because they want to live in their grand delusions and hate reading words that sound “mean” “unacceptable” or “hateful”. I loved this game and wanted to keep enjoying it but I have been told to f off too many times to count at this point. People will also read a post like this telling me I’m wrong for being mad about 5v5 and RQ, wrong that I am mad that Mercy and Kiriko only get skins, wrong to even want PvE, and that I am wrong to think that requiring 80 games of play time is abusive.
They will claim that I should be playing for “fun” without realizing how dismissive that is. I mean sure if you’re unemployed and living a freeloader life or are a child then yea 80 games is nothing to you, but it is for people with lives, and people like me shouldn’t be excluded for not wanting to have time or find time to play such an awful game for generally mediocre rewards anyways.

I like the new sombra better tbh. I was upset by the change at first, but ive actually being doing better than ever.
Quit after season 1. Hated the microtransactions, unbalanced heroes and bad reworks, Roadhog’s especially.
Lost all hope when the story was cancelled.

Further, one can learn about changes to the game right here, without ever playing.

First time I quit was during GOATS.
Then started to play a little.
Figured out that 5v5 was pretty bad, tried to adapt. Wasnt able to adapt because there was a cow in every single game which didnt die, getting supports who doesnt understand when to change if we are getting hard countered or doesnt have the mechanical skills to support.
DPS only shooting the tank and no one else, then write in the chat “Look at my damage bro” when all they did was shooting a tank who is getting constanly healed anyway while my supports are getting ganked.
Tanking when I do everything in my might to hold my team alive, creating space and getting picks. But still being told that I am worthless human being who should uninstall the game and never look at it again.
I miss 6v6 so damn much </3 please just let me have fun again.

Nah this wasnt a lie ofc.
It was Just them forgeting to tell us so they told us as soon as they remembered pve was a thing and got canceled !
If I quit it’s going to be because of all the cheaters, or that Blizzard doesn’t care and allowing it to continue
It is a huge problem and it would be extremely easy to solve with an Electronic ID card demand
