Most Overwatch players these days are actually just bots.
In fact, most forum posts are written by bots. They even argue with each other, in threads made by bots.
Even I’m probably a bot.

100 monkey phenomenon aka shared consciousness is just some player dude in the control dimension above upgrading his units on the field like in age of empires.
Source/god consciousness is the extradimensional hard drive containing all of the data of the universe.

Yeah it’s been pretty yikers lately. Don’t know which mode you’ve been finding this to be a problem in whether it’s 6v6 open (because I do know you play open queue comp a lot). Or QP.
The ranks in open queue per usual are skewed higher for most people so you will find people with inflated ranks.
I’ve seen some pretty interesting things:
- Tanks not clearing high ground even though the enemy tank plus dps are up there and instead going UNDER THEM only to die.
- Gold 1 zen one-trick having minimal damage and healing
- Tanks walking in and dying on repeat but not using abilities to mitigate or using cover then complaining about heals.
- Ult dominoes
- Lack of high ground
- People taking waaaaaaaaay too much damage USE COVER For Fricks Sake.
The gold zen, I took zen from him second round and tripled his healing and damage. idek anymore.

That’s not true the enemy soldier is on high ground 24/7 and my dps can’t see him because he’s apparently John Cena 76.

Facts about the rank inflation.
I had a torb on my team going double negative, and we were getting wrecked. He typed in chat “WHY AM I IM THIS RANK?!” so i peeked his profile.
He was bronze in rq. Had 10 seasons worth of bronze. Including this season. But oq put him in plat.

This is exactly what happens when MMR is completely removed from the game in favour of trying to push everyone into the same ranks in order to hide that they broke matchmaking to hide the loss of OW1 support players in S1.
On top of that, so many changes have made it so that these fundamentals just aren’t as important anymore. The skill gap has been getting gradually thinned by successive changes and it’s why plenty of us ‘doom’ when we see balance changes.

Okay so I was doing my placements on an account that hadn’t done them yet. My team was clueless and the other team had two DPS players that got deranked from mid masters. My DPS couldn’t keep up with them, neither could my tank, neither could my other support. But I couldn’t keep them all healed and deal with the enemy DPS living in the backline. My DPS legitimately said “I don’t know what to do”. My DPS were gold last season.
If you lose the first game of your placements it deranks you further than you should be and it has never been this bad before.
I think I’m done for the rest of the season, I’ll finish the BP and see if it evens out by next.
