Sames like a lot of companies are trying to cash in on OW’s negative reception lately.
Valve is working on a 6v6 hero shooter reportedly with “fast ADHD gameplay” and is described as a mix of Overwatch, TF2, Valorant, and Smite.
The game is called Deadlock and leaks are floating around X/Twitter
Will THIS be the OW killer? Will Blizz finally have competition?
Marvel Rivals and now Deadlock all seem to be gunning for the same playerbase.
What a great time to be an overwatch/hero shooter fan.
If these games take off and prove to be proper competition Blizzard will really start trying to make OW better.
Funny how everyone is sticking to 6v6 maybe Blizz should take notes.

Mixed feelings on this one, since it means TF2 is even more dead than ever before. Valve did their fans dirty with that game.

All I’m gonna say is that if they teased TF3 development by simply showing the logo… Sheesh the impact it would have. Instead they go brand new game.

Man once valve drops deadlock I don’t even care what these ow devs do. I just want a fast paced shooter with heroes, moba elements are fine. If valve is doing that I am 100% moving to that game full time. God tier devs God tier balance teams. Bioshock infinite rails also sounds so damn fun. I hope you can fight on the rails.
The most exciting thing about this, is this game could actually launch in WEEKS. I don’t want to get anyone overhyped but one YouTube vid I watched on this said last time valve did closed alpha testing like this, they launched the game like 3 weeks after. And those screens look pretty polished.

Honestly idk lol maybe cs2? The YouTuber didn’t say what game it was.
I mean CS2 was basically just a big graphical update for CS:GO, so if that’s the case I’m not sure how much that really counts.

Looks more like a moba with fast paced shooter elements tbh. From the screenshots I assume there even are units akin to minions in mobas, “Troopers”, “Guardians”, “Walkers”. Guardians probably akin to towers, Walkers probably akin to minions, Troopers idfk, range minions maybe, or siege minions and Guardians are ranged 
Edit: Oh there’s also “Last hits”, so quite literally a moba. Basically Smite but hopefully better. I’ll try it for sure, though I don’t expect it to be like Overwatch.
Fine by me. I’m over these clown devs with overwatch that balance around gold, force 5v5 that a majority hates, and make heroes like mauga and kiriko.

If anyone can do it it is valve. They have been the new old Blizzard for some years now even though they also had a stinker (anyone even remembers Artifact existing?)
I hope they drop the fantasy theme though.

Hot damn, if valve is involved this is an OW killer…
not only will you have disenfranchised OW players, you will also have all the TF2 old hats dusting off their market gardeners and sandviches to enter the fray
hype is an understatement
not to mention the uncensored banter one can have on valve games without fear of unwarranted ban hammers

How so? Valve is hardly a new face in the industry. Hell, they might’ve been around for longer than Blizzard themselves have (too lazy to look it up tho.)
From what I’ve heard they actually moved away from the more sci-fi elements in favour of fantasy in the first place, so probably not.

Maybe I should have said that it is the only big company left that still cares about making quality games.
I just hope it is not full Paladins mode.
And rightfully so considering even OW is a clone of TF2.

Gods i miss OW1 release torb and unleashing a level 3 turret on a genji blade…
i also miss microwaving genji’s and tracers with Danger noodle Sym

A tempting to test idea, i’m just sad that they’ve gone for the same boring semi-realistic look for the map assets as all the other shooter games have.
Everything just looks so de-saturated and gray…
