Q: Why can you use a controller with the PC version, but you can not use a mouse with the console version?

It requires third-party hardware designed to trick the system into thinking it’s something else, and is done in order to give the player an unfair advantage over those who don’t use said device. It is neither desired nor supported by the developers, either of Overwatch or of PS4.
Replace the “it” at the beginning and you’ve just defined an aimbot or wallhack; KB+M on console is just the hardware version of the same. Players should not be required to purchase third-party hardware to remain competitive. Good thing I play on PC, because I never, ever buy third-party anything for consoles and never would.
And regardless of the price of such hardware, it’s another barrier. Why the Motion Plus didn’t have as much support on the Wii? It was not expensive, but you couldn’t guarantee that 100% of the user base would have it.
So, it’s not about price.
Old forum, but in the end it’s all in your head. The hori is a controller, it doesn’t enable the same 1:1 ratio as kb&m on a PC: accuracy, turning, movement is still defined by the parameters set in the game. It’s not any different then any designed competitive controller people use. Examples: extended thumbsticks, extended triggers, extra triggers, back paddles and so forth. Those adjust your physical capabilities for input but they don’t actually change the input parameters of the game. As the hori is a controller, blizzard won’t ever ban It’s use on a console. Accessibility being a major factor… So to conclude, just get over yourselves.
But anyone can do it so… by your own words it’s fair game.
Oh god what have you done gridtakno.
Devs have said before kbm is cheating on console and you have to use external hardware to get them to work on console
If you want to use kbm buy a prebuilt for 400$ and it’ll play overwatch at 120+fps so you don’t have aim assist and unfair cursor movement
Humor, KBM is fine aim assist is not to me.
