Yup, same. I’ve only ever played on Playstation and yet don’t have like 90% of my stuff. I’ve got a few of my old skins here and there but definitely not all of them, not even my golden weapons. And all the OW1 characters and Kiriko are locked aside from the ones that are pre-unlocked for starters.

Me too man. When I go to click on the “merge account” nothing happens. Not going to play the game if I have to start from level 1 again

Sadly i have the same problem this should be fixed after they fix the severs, because like you said i wont start agian ive spent to much time and money to just be okay with this.

Same. I’ve only had one account ever, there was no need for me to merge. I ensured I had my mobile number linked to my account and waited for OW2 release. Log in and I’m being treated like a new player. All cosmetics, coins, and progressive gone! I’m quite upset.
Same here, have had battlenet account for ps4 since crossplay got set up. None of my account stats or cosmetics transferred, and game treats me like a new player. If this doesn’t get fixed I’m gonna scream
so what im gathering from all these posts is (most of) you all didnt merge because you had one account, whether it be playstation or xbox.
I hate to say it, you did have to merge.
how this system works is that you had to create a battle net account and link your console account to this battle net account.
the battle net account is the default platform for OW, which is PC.
this means you basically created a battle net account that doesnt own overwatch 1 on PC, therefore making the account a new player.
you had to merge your stats from ow1 console to the battlenet account so that the server detects that “hey, this account at some point did and does own overwatch, just look at its stats.”
Well, the email said otherwise. So I just hope it’s a bug or something, because a lot of players are having this issue.
i dont doubt that, one of my friends made sure he linked his account and merged multiple times and didnt get any of his stuff, im here hoping for yall as well

I had a battlenet account, created and linked it when OW1 went to cross platform a year ago.

Well, I did link my account back when they released crossplay. I’m not getting a merge button.
Same problem, i launched Overwatch 2 today on my PS5, linked my classic battle.net account, the only one i have, and it wiped everything. No profule icons, skins, intros, stats, nothing at all. Its as if the game decided to just not check my stats from the prior game, and i cant help but wonder if it is just something like a server bug, mainly due to the DDOS attack that happened today. I hope this gets resolved soon, i dont plan on playing the game until then, my cosmetics were all obtained through sheer luck for almost a decade (roughly the lifespan of Overwatch, so i could be wrong), i dont like that all of that is lost now.
I really hope the devs are aware, and franjly, i feel like they have to be, this is a big issue to ignore, but i also hope they can deliver a fix for this in a timely manner.

I’ve never played on console in my life. I have 800 hours in the pc version. All my skins transferred, but I don’t have access to any of the heroes and have to unlock them. For example, I have every Junkrat skin in the game, but am unable to play Junkrat. I think it really is a bug, and not a player mess up.

i remeber the merge button existing in the main menu under some of the lesser clicked on stuff on console, i play alot more on xbox than i do on PC and swear by it there was a merge option on the main menu
now this i completley understand, i feel bad and they do need to fix this
My Xbox (main) and PlayStation account are linked on the connections tab, yet I lost everything.
Is that not one of the ways we could have merged them?

It just happened now. On release, I could play every hero.
if you remember logging into OW after august 16th and it had the “merge your account” pop up you should be fine
