Dont get the obsession some people have for this kind of thing. I could give explanations on why these physiques both do and dont make sense, such as 90% of the dudes being what amounts to hyper-lethal 1%ers in the military, or are stereotypical āwarriors pathā characters, and that the two biggest I can think of that arent either of those in Roadhog and JR both arent ripped. One is obese and the other is āskinny fitā
Or I could tell you most people just arent interested in playing joe schmoes, which is the real answer anyone should care about. Anyone who ends up with self image issues due to not looking like their video game characters has bigger issues that need working through.
I can get being tired of seeing samey designs but thats fixable in millions of other ways than giving a bunch of fighters dad bods like the OP suggested, cause really just about every character in this game is related to war or fighting in some way, and all of them are considered hyper specialists and notable figures. They outright arent barely above average people, why do we want the physiques to reflect otherwise?

And i worked with those people and guess what they are no were near the 2 to 4% these characters are they sit around 8 to 12% and come in all shapes sized and builds.

Reinās waist is too small for that to me, he seems more like the physique of a second rower in rugby thatās been genetically boosted. Which tracks because body builders arenāt expected to carry a whole set of armour at full pace for extended periods. But that rugby physique runs a lot.
