Unexpected Server Error Occurred

I can’t log into Overwatch 2, Every time I try, I see the “Unexpected Server Error Occurred” in red letters and to log into the game with Email/Phone Number and Password. and once I log in using my Email and Password, I get no log in request on my Authenticator app and I end up not being able to log in at all. and when I tried to manually use a code on the authenticator app it just doesn’t work. the solutions to fix this from Blizzard DO NOT WORK, this issue is an in game account issue that is happening to multiple players trying to play the game. Hopefully someone in Blizzards Tech team can read our reports and solve the issue and get us in the game, this isn’t just a one player thing, multiple people have had this specific issue. Please fix this!!!

Yep, same issue! Commenting to make this problem more visible.

This forum is P2P troubleshooting. I recommend reporting bugs with connecting in Bug Report, especially since it’s not occurring on all accounts.

Oh, okay. How long should we expect responses from other devs? We’re all unable to enter the game and complete the drives event, and there are no issues on our end.

That forum is monitored by QA and devs, but neither usually responds unless they need more info from you or they have an update.

It’s all fully explained in the pinned post at the top of that forum:

Ok but… you do realize that we’re a bunch of people having the exact same issue, and that we all had the very same experience directly from Blizzard CS giving premade bot replies saying they couldn’t do anything about it and to ask on these very forums for help, right before closing the tickets, wrongfully as “resolved” ?

How would a Bug Report be any different?

We’ve been going back and forth between Blizzard CS and here, and a bunch of other forums on the Internet, and it seems to be completely impossible to talk to any real human.

I’m growing tired of being told to go ask some other place by the very place the previous place told us to ask to…

It absolutely should NOT be this complicated to get support.

It really is infuriating.

Ok but… you do realize that I’m trying to help you get your problem seen, right?

I’m a volunteer and a human. However, I don’t work for Blizzard and I can’t see your tickets. I can only advise you based on many years of forum experience and how Blizzard collects/reviews bugs. That’s all you can get in this forum: advice from fellow players. There are no more Tech Support Agents in any of the forums these days, which is the new standard across most AAA game titles.

I get that, but this isn’t my fault either. Responses like this discourage volunteers like me from trying to help. Please take that under consideration.

Blizzard ended employee-based technical support two years ago, so unless the issue can be investigated with fellow players (this one cannot), then it should be posted in the forum that the QA team and devs monitor for bugs, which is Bug Report.

I hope this gets resolved for everyone. Posting in the correct place will likely speed that process up.

Edit: Fixed forum link.

I’m sorry if my reply came across as rude, that was not my intention. I’m just really tired of having to fight to get only a little bit of support, when it shouldn’t be that complicated.

But I do understand that you are trying your best to help, and I appreciate that. I actually did post in the Bug Report section after replying here.

I’m just super tired of having to fight for something I have no control on. But it isn’t your fault, so I’m sorry.

Thank you for your advice, we all appreciate it. I think everyone affected it just getting annoyed as we all have the same issue, have been getting the same responses from CS saying it is an issue our end, etc.

We are also now making posts on Bug Reports so hopefully this can be solved asap, especially as the new season is around the corner.
