Symmetra 3.0… Such a sad story in Overwatch’s history…
A hero multiple times more superior that her predecessor(s), whose kit wasn’t anymore an extremely situational, frustrating and “low skill = high reward” mess, plagued though by the horrible numerical balance revolving around her.
Numerical balance that has led to the hero being a blatantly underpowered one for the majority of these last 2 years, therefore pressing on the breaks and not letting Symmetra 3.0 shine…
disagree to a degree but i think she doesnt get enough credit for a lot of stuff
also all of her spam is harder to land than junk or pharah, needs to charge and she wont fly over you when u want to duel her.

her balls are visible and have lineal trajectory. junks nades bounce around and look smaller. her follow up is insanely bad as well
Honestly I really feel like the way they changed her was so mad unnecessary.
If they had just given her throwable turrets and reworked her -ORIGINAL- E to be more like repair pack, she honestly would’ve been fine.
Too late now, tho.
I feel like she’s ok to play if you like her aesthetic/attitude, but so is any other Dps. She’s more niche than she’s ever been, really just good for Volksaya or hanamura.
In that sense, not much has changed that would’ve changed with throwable turrets from the get go. In a lot of ways, she’s worse.
My idea for a Sym healer, or as I call it, Sym 2.5
Primary: Straight line, when hitting enemies or shields, regen her Shield hp only.
Secondary: No longer needs to charge, 80dmg per orb, 1.25s rate. Heals 40 on a very small radius with a lingering of 10 per second for 5 seconds.
Turrets: same as 3.0, grant 25 shield hp to allies 10 meters from it.
Teleporter: Unchanged
Ultimate: Unchanged. I like Photon Barrier, its like a counterpart to Transcendence, where Trans counters continuous damage, Photon counters burst like High Noon and Dva bombs. But could have an instant deploy instead of a positioning+confirmation state.
Actually, ever since sym 3.0 hit live, her turret damage has not had the -30% modifier on console.
If her turret damage was weakened even further she’d feel terrible.
I also think it was extremely stupid that she (as the hardest counter to double shield) was nerfed during the double shield meta
Furthermore, I still believe that Symmetra would benefit from a toggle option of timed tele or infinite tele (press the skill button to toggle type like Mei wall or Sym wall, then place it).
