Don’t take Overwatch 2 seriously because they didn’t use the old matchmking system anymore.
According to dev announcement, you’re more likely to match up with bad teammate if you win too many games. It is designed to help people stop loss : from this forum " Blizzard confirms forced 50/50"
- Everybody is matched by the sum of hidden MMR number.
- Player who has higher elo has only one job “To carry everyone and stop loss streak of your teammate”
- Even so, with the ow2 health pool and incomplete component, it is impossible to carry by single person.
They implement on both qp and comp. Even some OW Champion Series player I know, they’re only diamond 1- Master 4. The funny part is they were al peak gm in ow1. So… Just chill and don’t take it serious.
I’m only mas5, but always match against former GM1-Champion regularly in QP. Rank means nothing.
