I just played a game of comp open queue and i queued with two top 500s and i checked their rank and its lower than mine but im not ranked top 500 please explain
- You need to have played 50+ matches in this season alone
- Must have SMS protecc enabled.

Oh god 50 this might take a while
All games played need to be AFTER setting up SMS on your account. You’ll need to start over at 0 if you don’t already have SMS.

Its a mystery i looked all over my battlenet account and came back with nothing
Go to your battlenet online and go to account settings. In the security checkup there should be a phone number verified. Add your phone number.
Just my phone number? God this is so extra i wish blizzard would prompt u on the game to do this legit no intel if i didnt post this i prob would have missed out on getting top 500

Yeah. there’s a fourm post look on sms protect somewhere. I believe the reason they did this was to prevent top 500 players from having more than 1 account in top 500 so that others can have a chance or something
That didnt work and i played my 50 matches such a idiotic thing to add people still use smurfs in top 500 pointless
did you play 50 games after the sms?
I have 51 games played according to my career profile but on the top 500 page it says I only have 44 games played. Is it just not updated yet or is it not counting the games with leavers?
Career profile is not accurate - if you play enough of a hero it counts as one game played for them, and the career profile just adds all of those together. If you swap characters a lot then it’s likely that you’re doubling up certain games. Overbuff has a similar issue with this.
The Leader board is the best source of how many games you’ve actually played.
Read above and make sure the 50 were AFTER SMS was enabled.

One last question do i get the top 500 emblem after the season or not at all for comp open queue
I literally played 2 full matches today and it only counted as one. So now I have 45 games played. Maybe after 100 more it will give me 50. What a stupid system.
I’m not certain for arcade, but I believe if you end in T500 once the season is over you’ll get the icon
Unfortunately I’ve never noticed anything like that, so I can’t help you. I don’t track my games played that frequently but the few times I’ve look at the leaderboards mine were tracking perfectly fine.
Well I’ve noticed that most of the people who have exactly “50” games played on the leaderboard actually have about 60 according to their career profiles. So that should be about 7 more for me I assume. But I’m barely holding onto diamond by a thread so its kinda annoying lol.
