Thanks to Blizzard that we can now stay in matches where we stand in the spawn and are destroyed.
Just because you can’t manage a clever match system.
Or have to play on poorly constructed maps that simply don’t fit our character. AND MAKE NO FUN
In Overwatch 1 there were ONLY very few people who left the match, why because we were rewarded with skins that didn’t cost any money.
If the map and enemy comp suck gor your chosen character doesn’t it make more sense to counter swap to a more appropriate character and give your team a chance?
That ship sailed more than 1 year ago mate, its time to let go.
Also if there are players that are only being decent (and not griefing) if you give them skins … I hate to break it to you, but those are not players you want to keep in the game.
Imagine there are people who can only play 1-2 heroes. If they play something different now it will be even worse. now they become even more demotivated

The early advice people have new to something is stick with something for awhile to learn it. You slowly pick up other things along the way. After you have learned how OW works with one hero, picking up another becomes much easier. Mostly because there is a fair amount of overlap in how you approach OW.
The other part too is that some counters in the game are insanely easy to pick up. Its not very difficult to learn how to play Moira for example. I’ll frequently pick up Lucio for only control point 1st fight push to the center of the map. If I die, I’ll swap. If we win, I’ll keep playing until I die.
Yes, I see how well that works, they then try out Widow and end the match with 0/16

Ask your self why overwatch 1 was way better and has no problem whit match leavers.
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen a thrower in OW2.
I remember several instances in both QP and Comp in OW1 that stand out very prominently though.
That being said, I only play QP, and I have far less play time on OW2 than I do in OW1.
But no, it’s not exclusively an OW2 problem.

I don’t know where all this revisionism surrounding Overwatch 1 is coming from, but people definitely threw in Overwatch 1.
And OW1 absolutely had a leaver problem as well…I have no idea what OP is talking bout
OW2 has its problems but leavers/throwers are definitely not a problem exclusive to it.
I genuinely have to ask if any of the people making these claims about “uwu leavers weren’t an issue qp was 0% sweat” have ever played QP. Leavers were an issue in OW1,

QP has always been Comp lite, with no public ranking on the line in exchange for faster less explicitly try-hard matches. Some people have always taken it just as seriously as Comp. I am seriously wondering if everyone whining about the leavers penalty (and its “effects”) actually being a penalty is suffering collective Alzheimer’s or is just a chronic leaver upset that they can’t freely kill match quality for 9 other players plus the potentially numerous backfillers stuck replacing them.
to be fair i see many more leavers in overwatch 2 and the worst with that is sometimes it’s not even leavers fault , there is many times i get kicked out from games and unable to join again.

I guess you never played Paris before. There was an average 20 leavers before the doors opened and another 20 afterwards.
yes Paris was bad but now it has become much worse. even more maps/mode that people don’t like.

For me it’s completely okay that leaving is punished more. But that doesn’t solve the problem
OW1 will always be the superior game, it’s a shame they took it away from us just to replace it with this scam game. Abusing all of its characters and world for money they actually do not need but hey the gaslit will believe that the industry needs to be this way. Lmaooooo 
Its really not exclusive to ow2, its present in any games with a clear penalty for leaving mid game.
It is however more palatable in ow2 since this is the only game with as many true hard counters while simultaneously having many one-tricks in comparison. And the game with the most polarizing experience of having a truly bad tank on your team.
I dont condone leavers but blizzard isnt really helping the cause, just the symptoms. Comparitively no one hardly
ever left or intentionally threw Paladins games, even during its prime.
