Why not implement a Q ban for constant QP leavers?

Lets say a 10 minute Q ban if you leave 5 or more matches out of the last 10 you joined so 50%+ and if you keep leaving you get an extra 2 minutes on top per match until it clears.

Yes… Yes… I know… It will increase Q times which is the last thing we need right now but QP is not healthy, like at all. Im not saying you should get punished if you leave 2-3 games but theres way too many folks who get up and leave at the slightest hint of invconvenience.

  • Dont like the comp? Leave.
  • Dont like the map? Leave.
  • People picked your hero? Leave.
  • Lost the objective very quickly? Leave.
  • Counters? Leave.

If you only stick around for 2-3 games out of every 10 that you Q up for whats the point of even playing this game? Sick and tired of this mentality of expecting utopia matches.

Blizzard does not care that’s why

There’s a reason it’s called quick play and not competitive. Forcing players to finish a match just makes it competitive without SR.

If you cant be mature enough and need to leave most games thats your issue.

What does being mature have to do with not wanting to waste your time getting stomped because of garbage matchmaking?

Blaming the playerbase for Blizzards own disaster of a game is why there’s hardly any players left as it is.

If you dont want to waste your time why are you playing Overwatch if know youll spend most of your time quitting matches?

Everyone has maps they hate, teammates they do not want to deal with, whatever.

If you want harsher leaver penalties, play comp.

Most of the people quitting matches likely aren’t immediately queuing back up. They probably remember how much fun the game was from 2016-18 and decide to hop on for a match only to be quickly reminded how bad the game is now so they quit and go play another game.

Ofcourse and so do I but I dont leave 70% of my games do I? If you find yourself leaving so much the issue is clearly you.

If people are leaving 70% of your games, maybe the problem is you. I hardly ever leave, and most of my games dont have leavers once the match starts.

People started to behave on RL more often after they only allowed one quit on casual per day. Having said that they should offer the forfeit option if the majority agrees, which ends the match.

So the whole “it’s QP” excuse is what’s slowly killing the game.

If people dont like me or the way I play so be it they can avoid me and that will fix it. Not once have I received a notification that too many people have avoided me so :man_shrugging:

Now that paris and horizon are gone, joining ongoing matches has been cut down significantly, so what is the issue exactly?

There are still bad actors that need a corrective for the game health? 2 days ago we lost point on kings and first checkpoint before we were 6 players.

The good 200iq play would be to persuade your team to leave and the match gets cancelled, which is the absolute worst ow feature

To get people to stop leaving it has to be an instant queue ban. Meaning leaving a game costs you 3-5 minutes of your time. Enough to think about it or go do something else. Otherwise people will just slowly leave games and abuse the timer to keep leaving more games. Just stop it in its tracks completely.

If you queue ban, people will just stop playing entirely. Enjoy the longer queue times.

At least those people will be more inclined to play

it’s QP for a reason. Being able to leave without a major consequence is one of the draws of the gamemode. If you don’t like it, play comp. That’s why it’s there.

I’d rather wait a bit longer than having the outcome of a match decided by a leaver on a regular base.

The increased match quality would be well worth the loss in quantity and less backfilling would be a welcome side effect.

Again if you need to leave so many games then Overwatch is not for you, pure and simple. If you dislike so many things it has to offer that you need to leave to much its all on you.
