The Sombra buff to kill double barrier

No he doesnt. You dont see Rein ever being run in double shield.
He doesnt have the same synergy because he wants to get into the fight an brawl at which point he cant use his barrier. Zarya has way better synergy with him who can easily farm charge with her bubbles on him.

You keep ignoring what I write. I see no reason to answer you, because that is not what I’m trying to say here at all and has nothing to do with it.

Again, we have a lot of problems. We have a lot of heroes in need of a buff. Some in ned of slight nerfs. We need to overthink the whole Shield-DPS-HPS war. And here you go with a “universal problem solver”… good luck.

Yeah, he doesnt want to stay at range and hold his barrier. Its just a tool to close the distance or not get shredded by poke, but he wants to get into the fight. So he never would be paired with Orisa since she wants to do the opposite and hide behind her bunker.

See the problem with sheilds being meta they have always been meta until we get a good main tank that doesnt have a sheild that is easily played around (not hamster) gimme sonetging i can charge in with or something but that is more personal character bias than actual input )
And until we get some without sheilds that are main tanks though for my sake i fear they are goingvto be fast like hammond hopefull somebody i can play They will always be meta because there are so many sheilds in the game

You literally do not see what I see when I have made my suggestion.

Not one person has ever been able to say that my buff idea is overpowered.

You guys obviously won’t let us Sombra mains have hack or EMP in its original form.

So I made a compromise, instead of buffing hack (WHICH BLIZZARD DID to deal with Sigma)

I buffed her damage against shields and barriers (while leaving her damage the same against HP and Armor)

Most Sombra mains agree she needs a damage buff, but my buff was a compromised buff that doesn’t make her OP, but makes her viable in the current meta, and any shield meta people try.

I would play the hell out of support Sombra.

What? No most Sombra main actually disagree with a damage buff.

It’s not as gimmicky as you thing. It is actually a normal thing in games that are base on character ability, especially common in RPGs, MMORPGs, and any game that borrow elements from the genre. It is just something only something new to you pure FPS players.

The only thing similar is a school lockout in some MMOs that occurs during an interruption mechanic. There is no ability like “hack” that exists anywhere because it should’ve never existed at all.

As a Sombra player, shooting at shields is not what I see as a preferable gameplay for sure. Sounds like a really boring duty, which also goes against her stealth tactics and fast attacks and retreats.

Sombra’s hack is literally just a silence from RPGs. Works exactly like that - forbids to cast “spells”.

RPGs and MMORPG has tons of it.

  • One is the Silence status ailment which prevent any mage and healers from casting spells.
  • The other is an ability lock which prevent physical melee/range character from casting abilities.
  • There’s multi-cast lock that prevents using combos with your abilities.
  • There are equipment lock which prevent you from using specific equipment in the runs.

There are mores when it comes to RPGs and MMORPGs.

Like I said, this is something that is only new to player who mostly just play FPS game and never had to deal with ability/weapon restrictions, thus why you guys treat it as gimmicks.

That’s a fair comparison tbh, which is equally annoying. Give me a dispell then.

That’s what I kept advocating for, to allow Zarya’s bubble to cleanse hack if Zarya was not hacked.

I would accept that resolution. My concern is always with the lack of counter-play. Remove the interruption on her hack and allow the status to be “cleansed”. Seems fair to me. Proper play & counter mechanics at work

Traditional jRPG is all about counter-play if you’re not able to tank & spank.

  • If a possible is too strong, you must buff your part and debuff the boss.
  • If the boss is too fast, you need to low it and haste your party.
  • If the boss is weak to a certain attack, you use a weapon or attack with that attribute
  • If the boss is weak to a certain element and strong against other, you equip your gears to do more damage and avoid the element that reduces your damage.
  • If the boss does too much damage but have weaker defense, than you try to nuke it.
  • If the boss does low damage but lots of sustain follow by a team wipe after x turn, than you change your comp to play the damage game.

Just the jRPG mobile games I play, I have to deal with

  • Attack Type: Physical, Ability, Magic, Summon, Fixed damage, and Hybrid of the mention type
  • Element Attack: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Dark, Neutral
  • Element Resist: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Dark, Neutral
  • Status Ailment: Poison, Blind, Sleep, Silence, Paralyze, Confuse, Disease, Stone, Death, Stop, Charm, Berserk
  • Enemy Type: Aquatic, Beast, Bird, Bug, Demon, Dragon, Human, Machine, Plant, Undead, Stone, Spirit, and Hybrid of all the mention types
  • Threshold: Where the boss goes super saiyan on your a**
  • HP Lock/fatal potections: That prevent target from getting 1-shotted, so that they can counter and wipe your party if you don’t plan accordingly.
  • Team Compositions:
    • Magic Chainers, Ability Chainers, Magic Finisher, Ability Finisher,
    • Provoke Magic Tank, Provoke Physical Tank, Magic Cover Tank, Physical Cover Tank, Evasion Tank
    • Stat Buffer, Resistance Buffer, Damage Mitigation Buffer, Physical Mitigation Buffer, Magic Mitigation Buffer
    • Attack, Magic, Defense, Spirit, Element, and Status Resistance debuffer
    • Healer, Reraise (Revive), AoE Reraise (AoE Revive)
    • MP Battery
    • Ability Dispel, Magic Display, Item Dispel

And so on… that’s only a fraction of what I have to take into consider when fighting the main boss fights the mobile jRPG I play. Some have even taken me up to 3 hrs to beat.

Some fights I’m only allow 5 team members, other time 6, and some even up to 10 team members…

Then you have to consider PvP Arena for these type of games, which is right now, a joke in some game while p2p n others.

Well, how about giving Sombra more speed, and firepower. In trade for a bit of Zarya counterplay to EMP?
