people only see what they want to see.
How many heroes from goats actually doesn’t require skill even if we include brigitte?

I didn’t say that they don’t require skill? 3-3 overall is not really reliant on mechanical skill
As as I said, it is just what is meta now.
But which tanks don’t people have a problem with? I see complaints about rein, Zarya, Dva, Hammond… we’re running out of tanks that people actually want to see viable.
What, did you think people wanted to watch GOATS as an Esport? Do you think that’s what made Overwatch successful?
CC. Heroes that don’t require skill are becoming stronger than heroes who do. The fact that starting a fight without an ult is just plain throwing/feeding at this point.
It’s like… I’m watching this guy, Samito, smurf games the other day. He’s playing games in Gold.
You know what he does? He stops playing Genji because the enemy team has Moira, Torb and Symmetra, saying, “you don’t play Genji into that. all that happens is that you die”.
He doesn’t even try to play it into it. A Top 500 player. Doesn’t even try. Dude even sounds like he would struggle if he did.
So there is also that aspect of it.
What made OW great is that counters didn’t just win fights for free. You had to own the matchup and at no point did it ever feel like it was guaranteed. It wasn’t like “oh you can’t play the game now because i picked this hero” like no dude lol you actually had to be good enough to counter a player off a hero if you didn’t want them on it and it actually took effort.
And it’s just like, this idea that someone should be able to basically CONTROL what another person is doing, just by making the choice to swap hero in spawn… That’s the kind of thing that is ruining Overwatch.
Unless of course you’re playing Pharmercy or something. All Pharmercy players deserve to be spawn camped and BMed.
I’m not disagreeing, I just think that this meta is unhealthy for the game overall, at least at the highest level. When the biggest category that also has the most variety is basically useless and those are also the ones that bring the mechanical skill aspect to the game then there’s a problem IMHO.
If baptiste gets in use, a dps will be required to take down the drone. Also the immortality field is made for punishing deathball comps as well.
Even though jeff doesn’t want to admit that baptiste was created to counter goats, judging by his design it look slike that was exactly their attempt.
It makes sense that low HP heroes would benefit more from the drone since they’d die faster normally, we’ll have to see what happens with him + all the other balance changes.
I actually went back to rewatch the video where I first got introduced to OW and the people playing actually do have a discussion about what type of game it is, they agree that there are some moba elements to it.
Time stamped it.
You think it’s true, but it isn’t.
Take up mercy for a bit. As dps, you can shoot yourself out of a bad place.
Mercy, if she screws up positioning, doesn’t have a target for ga.
And it is over.
More than that, she needs to do a major reposition every couple of seconds as she need to fly to the the next target.
When I am playing Zen, I KNOW my rotates in advance. But as mercy you get no such thing.
Dps is VERY forgiving comparativly.
They need aim, and twitch sure, but, the game is balanced so that our moba stlye hero’s have to lean far far harder on other skills to keep the same win rate.
You may think that the moba style heroes are easy mode, but, if you play them, you will find they look easy, but they are not.
OW is barely a shooter now. Roles, shields, cheap tactics and healing all ruin the game. I think I’m switching to CoD when it goes on sale.
If a cod style game is what you want then cod is a good one.
It’s a good game.
Ow had all of the things you complain about since it’s release. It hadn’t changed, you have… And that’s ok.
You have to be seriously delusional to believe this.
Overwatch was right from the start a ability/Moba-shooter. You have abilities and you have weapons. Pew Pew.
And if you remember back with Symm and her Lock-on, with D.Va and her one-and-a-half-hour-DM and Torb with his turret repairing, you should notice, that we’re going more and more into the aim-based direction with Torb using his weapon and Symm having to actually aim.
We still have abilities, some more usefull, some less usefull in some situations but this never changed or anything.
Actually, if you are shooting barriers, unless it is Bastion, you break the barrier faster by shooting the pistol than damage boosting an ally.
Damage boost is 30% extra damage. Pistol is 100 DPS (and its not like you are missing a huge barrier). Bastion is pretty much the only character that breaks over 300 DPS with his primary fire.
Well I think that should pretty much cover everyone’s counter points + arguments.
It’s the same as WoW (ever was?). End of discussion
I don’t really mind the concept of tanks, I just want them to only be able to tank, not replace DPS. If were going to do that, let’s just give all the DPS 200 more health and throw them in the tank category.
Oh, nice to know, I am terrible at math, so I figured maybe damage boosting storm arrows or Junkrat spam was a bit better. But yeah, I love Mercy that help with the barrier. It helps so much, especially at lower ranks.
Absolutely
Absolutely not
Because shooting stuff is not fun enaught to make me play one game for long time.
And thats why i mostly stay away from fps games, csgo etc are not for me.
Overwatch as a game that is not just “shoot their heads and win” game make it playable for me.
Just like tf2 was for me good and fun game, and it was not only about having perfect aim, you could be usefull for the team without it knowing how to use right your kit.
Its more fun imo than knowing witch gun is better to buy to shoot at other team.
Storm Arrow also breaks that damage threshold, but not Hanzo or Junkrat in general.
