The Cassidy one is all I have an issue with tbh. The ball change is only bad because they give the player no indication when the grapple is about to break but the nerf is fine.
That can be easily fixed.

Same reason I have an issue with Hanzo lunge. I don’t like these high burst dmg heroes to be made harder to dive. In Cassidy’s case it’s more problematic because he already has the hard stun and now more mobility options. He was already perfect imo.
I specifically CANNOT or I otherwise wouldn’t have said anything.
LET ME CLARIFY then:
In order to position for a lurk ambush I have to get there BEFORE the other team does. Unless I can guarantee they’re going to be UNDER me before 6 seconds expire it’s useless. I also have to get in position before they see me. Being that ball is a giant RED outlined circle on their screen it’s hard to do that without getting there well before they can even see where I’m hiding. 6 second window to get there without them seeing AND have them pass through that point is far too constraining to regularly use this tactic anymore.
I get thrown off a cliff by a boop, manage to 180 my camera and hook something. I am now at a dead stop hanging off the edge. I have 6 seconds to build momentum to get back up. Go throw yourself over the edge in shooting range with ball and try to get back up within 6 seconds from a dead hang. you might as well just drop.
I literally have to flick, tether, swing. instead of ready the right position to clear a door or defend a point.
Literally unable to stay connected as that is the point of the nerf.
any extended engagement where staying attached would have kept me in the fight (many situations apply that are not spinning in a circle) I now have to worry that after 6 seconds I will fly off in some weird direction, or detach and get thrown around or burned down while waiting the 4 seconds to reconnect.
That’s all going bye bye. You wanna take the position that all Ball players should just suck it up, stick with that. It’s better than telling me I can do what I specifically have tried to do and CANNOT.
Understand and accept that while it solves a low skill problem, it DOES remove higher level and skillful play.
You know what, I agree with you. I used to think like that but since they gave something to everyone, might as well give McCree something too. They are trying to give him something to help him, they have tried many things already so this is just the one thing right now.
I’m sure Ball players are really excited about being able to randomly disconnect while they’re grappling, Fun!

This misses the mark because it assumes people only play a single hero. If you make a hero fun to play, more people will want to play it. If you listen to whiners on the forum who only play one hero, then of course nothing makes them happy except if the hero they play is buffed, and every other hero is nerfed. That is literally what I see everyday on this forum. But for people like myself who are not confined to playing a single hero, I enjoy patches like these that increase the fun. And I look forward to more patches that increase the fun of more heroes.
Just think of it this way….the exc was “fun”…should they just have thrown that to live? (I mean all of it here)….Cause I guarantee you it would’ve been an absolute mess balance wise
You make changes because they warrant being made (based on various things) and hopefully they’re fun as well….otherwise you end up with stuff like this Hanzo change…is it fun? For the Hanzo maybe….who else is enjoying that though?

) but I think this change might be made for OW2. It makes little sense to make him Rick roll now but the devs have said they’re thinking of removing his flash for OW2. So maybe they want to replace it with more mobility? Or maybe they give him something else too
If you are not being useful to your team for more than ten seconds you are basically soft throwing.
So you can no longer negate a skill that is supposed to kill you? That is a good change.

You never need more than 6 seconds. Ever. If you do then you’re in a situation where you will never get up from a ledge due to movement being blocked or the grapple being too short.

They aren’t. They’re a very rightful nerf to the terribly - designed, low skill high reward Spin to Win play style.
It’s possible. Although I got the notion that they are no longer sure about removing his stun but maybe that’s just what I got from what they said, we don’t know for sure. I honestly don’t think that the air roll is a big deal balance wise, and it adds fun so I think it’s fine. People are complaining about this as if it was machine gun McCree or Melt the tanks FtH McCree and it doesn’t even comes close.

That’s what they didn’t, they only put what was sensible to do.
Warranted is subjective. If the devs made the change they felt they were warranted, these decisions are not made lightly.
If we look at it that way then nothing which hurts or kills you in game is fun. I think it’s cool that Hanzo can do that and I hate Hanzo. You can even look up my posts if you want to confirm that, Hanzo is one of the heroes I “hate” the most, but this change in particular, I just think it’s cool and don’t find it particularly unbalanced for the moment, sure we need time to assess that more precisely balance wise, I still think it is worth the shot.
Not for ball players who like to spin you can’t even make 3 full circles anymore I loved watching bad players sit there and walk into a spin
… so I need to rush into the enemy spawn? There are plenty of cases in which I have 10 seconds or more to do things and the enemy isn’t even engaging my team.
So I’m assuming you hate all healing, flying, res, wallride, sprint, fade, wraith and invuln then?

Stick to your guns or don’t… don’t try to frame this like it’s not making this less fun for Ball players AND everything I can’t do wasn’t fun in the first place I was just throwing AND somehow this STILL has something to do with spinning around a point.
You’re just outright wrong that it’s fun for EVERYONE.
No it’s not. People are losing depth to their favorite characters and certain characters who didn’t need anything are getting even STRONGER while indirectly making already countered characters even more countered.
